Taylor Hamm from our Texas A&M site, GigEm247, reports that Tennessee linebacker commitment Dalton Santos was on his way to College Station, Texas, earlier today to attend Texas A&M's home game tonight against rival Texas.

Lol, glad he saw them lose yet again. Poster child for why there should be no preseason rankings. Top 10, to a never been.

and if young urlacher was slow as molasses.

Way to expose yourself, chump.

Do you people not understand what Santos is being brought in to do? He doesn't need tremendous speed to stop the run.

The "Santos is too slow to play in the SEC" crowd will change their tune in two years...

Exactly, 3 and 4 or over will not see Santos in the game most likely.

Thats actually I love about how our staff recruits, we recognize there are positions you need two different types of players for different situations, and they are addressing that.

Read with trembling voice:

Do you think A&M to the SEC flips Santos?

:loco:

Santos has said hes solid to Tennessee, "Its where Im going to be". Maybe a high school football player from Texas likes watching a big rivalry game in the state of Texas?

For all you Santos is too slow people, answer me this question? Take away Malik Jackson and who is your second best defensive player this year. AJ Johnson by far, not even close. Compare Johnsons high school film to Santos and you'll find a guy who ran a 4.7 40 and will never be good is pass coverage but does one thing most of our current players cant and thats TACKLE. Santos will be a beast but I doubt any of these incoming LBs will play next year.

Why wouldn't Santos want to go see likely the biggest football game between the Texas colleges?? I know if I was a recruit I would want to go see as many places as I could within reason.

Santos is solid, and a EE for January. Some of you guys need to calm down.

Yeah, I pretty much failed to post a coherent thought.

I am saying, that Santos is out when our nickel package comes in or in obvious passing situations.

We can either go nickel or bring a more athletic guy in the middle.

Our staff does a good job at recognizing certain players fit not only certain positions, but certain down and distance situations.

People around here lose their minds if another school calls our guys. I guess if a guy's good only one school should recruit him(which is us). Chill out folks he'll be here in January. He'll have a head start on S&C too. Which I think might be his biggest problem. He has a little bad weight but it's only in the mid section. People who question his speed(including me at times) need to realize we had Reviez starting at LB(nuff said). I'll be glad when he gets here so we can see if he's as good as the hype.

I think Santos will probally be in the two deep next year. But he will not get as many snaps as aj and maggit did this year.A j will start at mlb if lathers is completly healthy.

Santos has cat like reflexes and speed when he gets within 5 yards of the ball carrier. Dude will have no problem whatsoever making an impact.

exactly. and i always like it when other people call our commits, shows that they are good enough to keep battling for.

For real. If all the guys on the O-line had his mentality we would lead the SEC in rushing.

Yeah, screw rudy reveiz.

"Last" game between intrastate (less than 100 miles apart) rivals that dates back to 1894---can't blame Santos for wanting to be part of that experience. Means nothing more. VOL!

"I'm strong with it. I love it up there," Santos said. "It's different from here, somewhere I can step out and grow as a person and a player. I love challenges, and this will be something different in my life. I'm solid there."
