Who would you vote for to run for President from the Republican Party?

I am for Paul at the moment. I don't think he has a shot at the GOP nomination. However, I think the general election could be real interesting if Paul runs as a Libertarian. I do not think it is out of the realm of possibility that Paul might get more votes that the eventual GOP nominee if libertarians, independents/centrists, and moderate republicans unite for Paul instead of traditionally voting for the "lesser of the two evils."

if Paul runs as a Libertarian, my best hope is that the GOP maintains control of the House and they pick up the Senate.

It's almost like every 3-4 weeks, a new candidate jumps to the front of the line, while Romney's numbers have pretty much been static. Romney and Paul have their core followers. It is almost like the people in the middle are bouncing around the carousel of first Bachman, then Perry, then Cain and now Newt is getting a bounce in the last few weeks. When Newt runs out of gas, who will the people in the middle be left to pick from?

Are the members of this website reflective of the general GOP population? If so, Romney is in trouble.

A politically informed base, no matter what the affiliation, is not reflective of the general population.

However, you could make an argument that the dumber sects of the GOP party wouldn't favor a Mormon once the religious drumbeats start rolling. We shall see, it will be an interesting one.

B/C we shouldnt tie our economy to a shiny metal and dangerous mines.

Its not people in the middle who are bouncing around, its the TP

Hard to say that our money supply is in good condition with the status quo. You've got to see the benefit in restricting ourselves from creating money out of thin air.

The reason all you heard last night was more "war" because the debate was ONLY about NATIONAL SECURITY

So who said "Hey, Lets go to war"? And what countries were they planning on invading?

So, you heard them say it or not? See:

That wouldn't be a very good strategy for getting elected. They use code (Bush*) or just outright lie (Obama) about their intentions when it comes to war.

It'll never happen.
