From the perspective of Vanderbilt what will hurt them the most for us to shut down or do?

Will...

stopping Rogers hurt the most?
being unable to establish the run hurt the most?
not being able to stop the run hurt the most?
needing to slow Bray down be the most important?
special teams be the difference maker?

Biggest factor is for Bray to get into a good rhythm early. If Candy forces him into a tough start I worry about our chances

We need to play 60 minutes of good football instead of 30 minutes. Stopping the Vandy run and minimizing turnovers will be most important. The game will probably be decided by special teams.

It would be nice to see someone wrap up and tackle on Saturday. Also hope our DBs don't fall asleep.

Vandy always seems like a game that even if we dont play well, Vandy somehow always finds a way to beat themselves ( except for 05' of course :gun:)

Id say send Maggit and A.J. Johnson on blitzes early and often even if you give up a play or 2 to try and knock the snot out of Rogers so he has to think about it the rest of the game.

Begins and ends with not letting the younger Rodgers look like the older one. The team will go as he goes.

Biggest factor? Hmm? Ball control. Poole is ready for a big, no make that a "great" game. You can bet that franklin and buddies are preparing for Bray - Rodgers - Arnett and Rivera. The last thing they expect or want to see is UT all of a sudden find a running game. I think franklinstein will get out coached by Dooley and Poole will put up some big rushing yards in the first half. The second half will be all Bray and knocking the rust off the arm. The commonwhores deserve not just a beat down, but also beat the hell out of them in the process. Nothing better to put a kid in their place better than an old fashioned ass whupping.

What will hurt Vandy the most is when UT steps onto the field cause the only way Vandy will win is if UT doesn't set foot on the field!

What will hurt vondy the most?

Score. Score early and often. It's too late in the season to work on aspects of our game that have been "lacking" HA! Throw it all over the field. Start every drive with one goal in mind. SCORE!

And I dont want to see this crap where we get up by a couple of scores and we start running the clock. I dont care if we dont have a drive all day over a min and a half.

Bury em in TD's!

the biggest factor imo is Rodgers throwing into our secondary ... cant give up big plays and we have to be in the right spot. If we can stop him from throwing the ball effectively, we'll win ... Rodgers is kinda similar to Collaros from Cincy

I think our biggest issue is containment on D after the 1st 5-7 seconds. Their QB can move and we've been known to give up 3rd and a million due to no QB pressure. On offense I think we have to get the ball spread around early and have high completion rates to keep blitzing down because we won't run well.

For them I think the same thing, keep possession and move the chains on 3rd and long. Our D is good until tired. If they keep them on the field and Bray off I'd say we lose.

The scoreboard. It's the only stat we simply cannot afford to lose in this one. Must win game. Amazing it's gotten to this point. Just amazing.

The Vols need to control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, our offense needs to score TD's and the D needs 3 and outs

The team needs to show up, mentally, physically , and emotionally.

The Volunteer players, coaches and fans need to remember that we ARE Tennessee!

They are vanderbilt, enough said.

Destroy the commodores and then the wildcats. Go to a bowl then continue to build the roster.

Go Big Orange!
