So we cant slam a coach here?

I agree but we did get d lineman linebackers. We need help at every position so you can't go wrong with getting talent. I'm not saying he is going to win a NC but he is getting us rebuilt. The impatience of our fan base is laughable.

You hit it on the head BigDaddy

I feel dirty for saying that

we should have right right around a top 10 class. bama is dominating like you would expect they would. other than that were not that much behind the other teams if you look at in just in stars.

You mean the talent like everyone screamed and screamed about in the preseason...aka Marlin "fumble" Lane. Or do you mean the plethora of big time DL he has hidden somewhere?

Bama was 6-7 when Saban took over and coming off the textbook scandal!!

Wow, you're really going to compare that little text book scandal to back to back coach changes and losing 45 scholarship players. I really wish there were a football IQ test one must pass before starting a new thread!

Like I said, you do realize that a bunch of these guys are still freshman and sophomores right?

The ignorance that appears on this forum literally makes me want to strangle a baby. It's infuriating. Guys, Dooley inherited a mattress fire of a program that, this year, has nearly have the amount of upperclassmen and nearly a fourth the number of 4-star caliber players. He managed to keep a 9th ranked recruiting class after Kiffin bailed like three weeks before signing day in 2010, and he got a 6-7 team a 13th ranked recruiting class in 2011.

How people think he should be winning astonishes me, but the people that say we aren't doing stellar recruiting make me question how they had the brainpower to even register for this forum.

we are in on some good Dlineman. if you would take a look at recruiting you wouldn't look so foolish. Lane will be a good running back. just because you think he is a bust after one fumble doesn't make it so.

Oh he has one fumble? I must be lost.

Yes, being critical of Dooley is a sign of foolishness. The world is a scary place.

No he didnt,, he campaigned to be the Hurricanes coach

Ex-Texas Tech coach Mike Leach wants to coach the Miami Hurricanes, and UM should at least listen

Commentary: Ex-Texas Tech coach Mike Leach wants to coach the Miami Hurricanes, and UM should at least listen

Thats not a coach that wants to take a few years off/away
I like leach fine. When he left TTU I heard him interviewed twice. Maybe he missed it more than he thought. Point is, at the time CDD was hired Leach wasn't interested.

I compare people to THE BEST!

QBs are compared to Manning and Brady not Trent Dilfer!!

You're the dumbest poster on VN. Look at the previous 3 recruiting classes before Saban took over ALA. Every Point you're making is stupid.

Agree in Worley. But you can't blame the coaches for players not answering the call. If we had depth then I say yank them.

Maybe not, but when the players consistently fail to answer the call, that is a problem.

Oh I realize it all too well. It means you're going to get 2 more years of these results, at least.

Why exactly? Experience does count for something and right now we don't have a whole lot of it......or leadership either for that matter.

Look at the last two class and tell me what exactly is wrong with them. We've brought in in about as many 4 stars as Alabama and Florida this past year and have been right there with Georgia and SC in recruiting as well as far as the east division goes. That argument is more or less baseless.

Threads like this make me wonder why anyone would want to be a MOD...

Much love to the MODs out there who have to clean up this garbage. (Sorry for not staying on topic) :)

So? This has resulted in how many wins over UGA, UF, and Bama after those classes set foot on campus?

Other than Bray, Hunter, Rodgers, AJ Johnson and Maggitt I see nothing to get excited about. Those 5 are actually legit top of the line guys but without a defensive front and a star running back he isn't going to win in this league.

Like I said, the team is made up of mostly first and second year guys right now. How are you not getting this?

Schemes are playbooks aren't mastered by everyone overnight. It takes some time.

I am getting it just fine. We'll see who was right next year I guess. Or the year after or the year after depending on how long people want to make excuses for this guy.

Our front-seven is playing 10 times better than last year. Couch played an excellent game last night.
