'12 AL DT Justin Shanks

We have the best shot at Shanks and Bullard out of that group. I will say this, any kid we get on campus we have a legitimate shot at landing.

Do you still feel we are in good shape with Autry? If so, would the coaches be done on the DL if we finish with Autry, Bullard and Shanks?

I would trade Jacobs for Shanks. :)

Trust me, I want Shanks here at Tennessee just as much as the next person, but we really do need Jacobs here too. Not only cause our D-line is weak enough as it is, but he is also a big part of Autry's recruitment to Tennessee as well. I know if Autry really wants to be here than it wont really matter, but having Jacobs on our side definitely helps.

The staff is confident that if Shanks takes an official visit to Tennessee, he will be a Vol.

hearing FSU isn't even putting up much fight atp. After Stoops had a close up they are cooling from the reports....Aub has backed off as well. He's going to take a big fall in the next rankings(rumor).

Great news! Any word on how Kirven's visit went? I know he is a huge VT lean, but where does the staff think we sit with him?

Kirven's visit went well, and we made up some ground. He and O'Brien really hit it off. With that being said, he's still likely headed to VT. We need Kirven to come back for an official visit to have much of a chance.

Thanks hg. We'll gladly take him off their hands

Well I think most considered him a VT lean so thats expected, but hearing that we covered some ground is definitely good news. There's still plenty of time, and it appears as if this staff can make just about anything happen if we get them in for OV. So ill be cautiously optimistic for the time being:thumbsup:

He was at AU this past weekend.

There was a thread on the MB a few weeks ago about how fat and lazy he was. Figured it was sour grapes from Bammers and Barners.

Hearing that he is lazy isn't good. However, he obviously has the physical tools to be dominant. From his game on ESPNU, he looked like a man amongst children.

I'm not sure that it's true as much it was sour grapes. Reading HG's post just made me think of it.

Judging by his highlights, he clearly is a monster.
