Which one needs more improvment? Pass rush vs Pass Defense in General... which is worse, allotted the talent we have. Could it be the coaches?

Please answer objectively (factually)
and Subjectively (perspective)

Cb's. Run support is not good. Dl is doing ok. Giving easy slants and outs by bad technique, skill and instinct is a problem.
Prentiss can play cb, but lanier and teague are tough to watch.

Hard to coach pass rush. It is very player related. Got to have the 'horses'. As far as the linebackers go, they need to be in their gaps. If they are then the running plays and passes to the backs have a hard time developing. Our corners need help playing the football while it is in the air. We look lost out there. We need more size at safety. Youth is partly to blame for all of our problems. But still the players need to learn practice and master their assignments on their own. Take some pride in what they are doing and keep getting better (just like we are). Our D was ok early against LSU. We should have scored more early on and they would have fed off of the energy of the crowd. IMO we are worse off on Offense. The D is actually serviceable (kudos to CJW). They just need some 'run support' to steal a baseball term. GOVOLS. Dooley is fine. Our staff is fine. Just give it some time.

How dare you question our D! Haven't you been reading the other posts? Simms is the reason the D struggled...geez

Oh, look. More complete garbage from you. By the way, I enjoyed your well reasoned retort in the other thread...oh wait, you ran off and said nothing.

Suppose Waggner goes back to one of the corners.

Suppose you put our fastest on the other side ... of these 5, who has most speed: Gordon, Coleman, Evans, Lanier or Teague?

Law....you need to chill. You're taking every opportunity you can to rip into people on a personal level who might disagree with you. I hope you noticed in our back and forth from the other thread, I never said you were clueless, and idiot, or told you to shut up. Relax a little

Pass rush, or lack thereof, is worse. CBs can't be expected to cover WRs for the long length of time the opposing QBs have been given.

No personal attack at all. Just pointing out how you continue to bring nothing to the table and when you get proven wrong, you run away. Those are facts, not insults.

You add weight to your argument when you back off the anger a little. When you don't, I lose your points in the trash talk. We can agree to disagree on Wilcox, so lets burry it

I would go coach, sorry Wilcox is not at Boise playing little sisters of the poor anymore. He may in fact be a decent D-coordinator but in over his head right now.

It goes without saying. He's offering about the same level of analysis that you did, which is none. I can't think of many D-coordinators that are going to stonewall LSU for 4 quarters with what we've got.

Agreed we don't have a lot to work with. Our d line is better than last year but still not sec quality, especially after the first four. AJ is out of position imo, can't cover anybody with decent speed. Austin is decent but not spectacular, and Maggit shows flashes but he's a freshman. Our experienced dbs are too slow and freshmen are trying to learn on the job. They aren't going to make a lot of d coaches look good this year. Next year everybody can question the coaches a little more but not sure what else they can do this year.
