Wouldn't understand? Got this idea off another site here are some I like;

* Low scoring, defensive battles
* Big guys touching the football (Vince Wilfork, Dan Connolly, etc)
* Tough QBs who play through injuries (Big Ben, Steve McNair, Brett Favre, etc)
* Players playing with some fire and passion even when they are out of the game
* Having a FB run the ball every now again
* TEs that can actually block
* Having a kicker that can hit long distance FGs
* Offensive linemen who play big mean and nasty and defend there skilled position guys (Such as helping them up after play, pushing opposing players off the pile, getting into defensive players faces if they put cheap shots on their guys, etc)
* Actually having a good punter

the adrenaline rush right before kickoff, half scared half amped barreling down the field knowing 1 of 2 things will happen, you knock the dog sheeatt out of someone you you get floored. Either way a train wreck is gonna happen (i never played college ball just high school, but i miss the feeling and still get a little anxious right before kickoff)

How can you call it "football", while players rarely touch the ball with their foot / feet?

I must confess: I am a "football" fan, but I still don't quite understand it myself.

I have yet to run into an ACC or Big East football fan that understands the hatred between many SEC schools.

Do you think wanting to win VERY badly turned into this unparalleled 'hatred'? Or is it the other way around? Did the hatred come first?

Who knows.

All I know is that it just feels right to hate Florida and Bama and Georgia and Kentucky, etc.

Not necessarily what you were thinking but...

I hate it when people don't understand field position battles and play calling.

For example, when people ***** and moan when we run a HB Draw on 3rd and 20 from our 10 yard line.

Some of my UGA buds last week were irate that Bobo called two running plays on 2nd and 56... Like he has a play that can get 30 yards twice. A interception right then could have cost them the game. I wish they would have.

Non-FB fans normally don't understand anything about football. That said, my favorite thing is when a LB or safety comes up and lays the wood on a RB or receiver. I'm talking one of those bone-rattling, snotbubbler hits. The ones that make you cringe and say "Day-um", but at the same time pump you up with so much adrenaline you HAVE to stand up for the rest of the game because there is no sitting down.

Why it matters what another team does on a week you don't play them.

Why I stand in front of my TV and refuse to use the perfectly good couches behind me when the Vols are on.
