Jim Chaney has had the responsibility of being offensive coordinator drawing up schemes and calling plays the past two years when Dooley was hired.

Evidently he must have full confidence in Jim or just doesn't feel like we need one.

Personally I don't see where it would hurt just having the tailbacks and fullbacks in their own room watching film with their position coach.

Before Dooley was hired Eddie Gran was Running backs/SP teams.

Skip back 3 years ago under the Fulmer, Stan Drayton had the reigns of RB's and FB's.

But what confuses me is how Poole can rush for 1K last year but now it's nearly impossible to get 20 yards against a SEC opponent. Something doesn't add up..

Suggestions please!

Which coach do you get rid of to make room for a RB coach? We're up to our quota coach-wise.

I think so. We have to do something because what we're doing right now isn't working, obviously.

Well if one was to go, the special teams certainly haven't performed well the past 2 years.

Maybe Dooley's proposal of adding another assistant coach for football will be accepted?

I wouldn't want to fire anyone on the current staff.

All I know is if any of you will go back from Montana to UGA our O-Line accepts the defender instead of pushing through, unacceptable and Tauren just isn't hittin the seam going to daylight mainly because he can't but his vision is awful, it's one thing for a freshman to have a lil problem with it but a Senior?

This goes to my point on the RB coaching thing because our O-line is very young, just saying but still unacceptable through my eyes.

the only coach that I would call expendable would be the QB coach, Rinshaw, even though I think He is a descent coach.
Most offensive co's coach the QB anyway. and we all know how much Chaney helped Brees.

The GA coaches the running backs. I don't know how good he is. I would guess the RBs have their own meetings. I think this is the last year he can be GA, so he will have to leave or be given a regular coaching position. This situation probably hurts recruiting of highly rated running backs.

Im still waiting on Wilcox to adjust.Im not impressed at all with him and Im not so sure he can cut it in the SEC.I do agree the OL coach and ST coach needs to go.

Poole has been banged up all year....plus he's just a middle of the road back....Lane won't go where the play is called and tries to freelance....instead of a new RB coach, I think the Vols need a new RB.....unfortunately they don't have one
