I found this Dave Hooker interview. It focuses on when he was suspended by UT for whatever happened when he talked to Inky. It also covers other things and I found it to be a nice read.

Good article. I like Hooker a lot. John and him do a great job on the sportspage- I actually think it's better than sportstalk. However, when Mike Griffith and Dan Fleser are the hosts it's not that great of a show.

I really respect Hooker for saying that after he went to the 1998 Orange Bowl he told himself that was the last time that he would cheer for Tennessee. I think a lot of us would struggle covering our alma mater and remaining objective like he has.

Buisness do you have more on this story. I didn't hear about this. Why did UT really get upset? Was the Inky interview ever published and what did it say?

I don't know too much. All I know is at UT you have to go through red tape to talk to football players or any one playing athletics for that matter. Hooker interviewed Inky after the injury and didn't go through that red tape.

I'm sure there's other people around here that know it a little more in depth. I just know basics and found that article on wizardofodds.com which is another great website for college football.
