Pearl Painted Up

Just wondering why is Pearl a 'V' in one of the top pictures with no J. Howell, and looks like J. Howell is in the bottom picture with no pearl? Just wondering if anyone knew.

Bruce left at halftime. He was showered up and got interviewed.

Just in from the hill...

To help boost football recruiting, our own Phil Fulmer will paint his chest orange @ the next UT home hoop game. He said he don't have to get players to help spell out letters, he said they'll all fit onto my belly just fine, nice and visible.

Nah, K doesn't have a preternatural need to call attention to himself.
I've saved this for awhile... I usually agree with your posts considering they have been well thought out and factually presentable, but I've got to stop it here. The added attention to the MEN'S basketball program through this act is immeasurable. Who would not want to play for this coach as a recriut?

Sometimes you all take yourselves too seriously. Cut the guy a break. Who cares what ESPN thinks or what some announcer at the halftime of a game thinks. Pearl is awesome and he is good for UT.

Nope. Absolutely not.

The way I look at it is this: I don't go to college tennis matches because they bore me.

I don't care about women's basketball because it is beyond boring. Why? Because it is not competitive!! The worst men's team in Div. I basketball would absolutely crush the best women's team. It makes no sense to be driven to go see or even watch on tv an athletic contest that you know for a fact is not competitive.

In all my years on this planet, I can honestly say that I have watched less than 2 minutes, TOTAL, of women's basketball.

If you have not watched women's basketball, then you can't honestly say that is "beyond boring."

From a purist standpoint, women's basketball is much more fundamentally sound than men's.

If by purist, you mean slow moving with about 10 tie balls a game. UT shot about 35% last night. Real great fundamentals. The women's game is to basketball what American Idol is to popular music: A parody.

i wish lawgator would have been at the game last night.. because before than i had the same view on womans college basketball but that was one of the best games i've been to in a while.. so lawgator until you attend one like that i wouldn't open your mouth.. just a thought.. its kind of like speaking of something that you know nothing about not saying you ever do that... just a tip though :eek:k:

Filed right next to the warranty card I got for my slip and slide when I was 6.

that's actually not very far from the truth........they are two differen games all together.

So you're saying that if UF was in the women's national championship game you wouldn't watch?

That, sir, is EXACTLY what I am saying.

they're not going to be anytime soon so don't give him false hopes :eek:lol:

I gather we must suck. I have no clue. Don't even know what their record is.

Certainly do not care.

In fact, the only two teams I am aware of in the Top 25 are Uconn and UT and that is only because they had the game on at my gym the other day plus you folks on here commenting on it.

I cannot name another team in the Top 25. Don't know who is in and who is out. And will make no effort whatsoever to find out.

Now, if you want to let me know who is in the Top 25 in women's gymnatics or volleyball, I'm only remotely interested. But at least I'd say to myself (if the Gators were in there) "Oh, that's nice."

And turn to the personals...

When I first moved to Knoxville I had a friend I worked with (yes I know, shocking I had friends) who told me he liked going to lady vols games because they did something much more consistently then any other vol program...they win in the regular season and they win championships.

Do you realize how patheitc that sounds? The once proud University of Tennessee fans flocking to women's basketball games because, hey, that's what we're good at?
