Your just jealous you weren't there with him.

#1, it was a women's basketball game. Hence I don't care.

#2, it was a women's basketball game, hence I don't care.

#3, it was a women's basketball game, hence I don't care.

Sorry, and I am all for Title IX, but its sort of like saying let's try to build excitement around the JV team in high school. It doesn't (and shouldn't) happen.

It's just a waste of time and money.

Of course you don't care, your women's basketball team sucks. I'm sure if they were National Champs, you'd be in here trying to nonchalantly rub that in our faces too. :compute:

Even more awesome than I imagined it would be.

I tuned in to part of the game tonight but they never showed him in the parts I caught, so I wondered if he'd done it...

...and then it was one of the main headlines of the lead-in on Fox 17 News.

#1 I agree 110%
#2 See #1

I couldn't care less that he was doing it for a women's basketball game. It could have been a water polo game for all I care, I just think it is funny that he would do something like that. And your still jealous.

Nope. Absolutely not.

The way I look at it is this: I don't go to college tennis matches because they bore me.

I don't care about women's basketball because it is beyond boring. Why? Because it is not competitive!! The worst men's team in Div. I basketball would absolutely crush the best women's team. It makes no sense to be driven to go see or even watch on tv an athletic contest that you know for a fact is not competitive.

In all my years on this planet, I can honestly say that I have watched less than 2 minutes, TOTAL, of women's basketball.

I find it comical when fans of other schools (not talking about anyone that posts here from other schools) say that Pearl doesn't love the University and is just using UT as a stepping stone to a better job. Didn't someone post that Pearl was in the crowd at the Georgia football game this year screaming for the Vols to throw the ball downfield or something? Is there any question that the dude loves the school?

He does. He clearly does.

He also needs to increase the dosage of his meds.

You had me from Nope. I feel the exact same way about women's basketball, but living in Knoxville I am in the minority. I am slightly scared by the fact that I agree with a UF fan. :yuck:

Using this logic, I guess you don't watch college football. The worst NFL team would crush the best college team.

That is maybe the best thing I have seen in my life. Bruce Pearl is the man. End of discussion.

This guy knows exactly what he's doing. You think this man got to his spot by being dumb over emotional idiot? No sir this guy has more charisma and selling power than everyone who post here combined.

Kids love this. Kids want to see people in a office of power do these things.

Bruce knows EXACTLY what he is doing. The more Bruce makes the Natl. Press the better. Better for recruiting and better for getting more games on natl. TV. There's absolutely no such thing as bad press.
Couldn't have said it better (although I did say this earlier in the thread). What recruit that sees this on national media tomorrow is NOT going to think to himself, "Now THAT is a coach I would like to play for." ??????

It's cool...ESPN would be more forgiving if Bruce were out choking people, throwing chairs around, and drunk driving. They'd even say these immoral, violent, and dangerous people deserve to be in the hall of fame, and even respected.

However, for a coach to paint his chest...dear God. There's no place in bball for that!

It fails on the same level as you comparing men's basketball to women's basketball. Just following your lead.

Sigh...

To begin with, college football is played by 18-23 year olds, not so NFL. But of course women and men of same age play college bball.

Second, and more important, there is a long, long tradition of college football. Not so much women's college basketball.

Now, at the same time, I'll tell you that I wathc women's gymnastics, but not men's. Why? In large part tradition. I admit that.

I am not sure that makes me sexist. It might. Will have to dwell on that a bit ....
