I think he is a Vol as well. I've yet to get nervous about this one.

As stated here numerous times, I fully agree with this assessment. O'Brien has been a silent to Tennessee for months.

Being a Silent committment gives him the freedom to fully enjoy the once in a lifetime experience of being an elite defensive tackle being recruited by many top notch programs. He gets to visit up to 5 schools free of charge and see a lot of great college games at no cost to himself. What 18 year old kid would not want to do that??? Being a silent commitment also has allowed him to avoid harassment by the local Michigan fans for committing to an out of state program.

I remain confident that O'Brien will announce that he will be a Vol on the 7th followed by his OV on the 14th.

As of today it is my strong gut feeling that Flint Powers star Danny O'Brien will wind up some place other than Michigan. I'm not quite sure where yet...maybe Tennessee? But my strong strong gut feeling is it won't be Michigan.

It's been a Tennessee-Michigan battle for this four-star's services since the summer. Tennessee was O'Brien's leader for some time before he backed off that this summer, but Tennessee is still in good shape with O'Brien. There seems to be some renewed thought that the Vols will pull this one out, including Rivals.com's Josh Helmholdt's latest update on the situation.
