He's that big? Got a feeling he won't beat C.Harris out for the MLB spot like some people here think. Harris is more athletic and he hits almost as hard too. We'll see when he gets here.

I was very very excited about Harris in that role.

Santos will develop nicely. But I wouldn't be surprised to see Harris step up.

Either Harris will start there or they'll move A.J. to MLB and he may start at SLB since he's more athletic. He would be a better matchup on TEs. We will also have Lathers to go along with Maggitt. LB depth starting to look a bit better to an extent.

And Otha peters broke somebody's neck last weekend!

"I'm going to start working on the other prospects," he said. "I'm not going to be pushy, but I think something special is happening at Tennessee and I want the other guys to join me and be part of it." Otha Peters
Ya got that right Otha, something special is happening! Glad to have both you and Dalton on the same team.

Pretty sure everybody has read this... but I just found it. It's right when he was decommitting from OSU.

No. 1 ILB Dalton Santos plays for keeps - ESPN

I like this part...

"I've been playing middle linebacker since I was little and it's just second nature with me now," Santos said. "I don't hear anything when I'm out there, I just react. You can call it instinct or whatever, but I know what to look for and how to get there.

"I've had great coaches, too, and they have helped get the most out of me. Everyone says I have a bright future as long as I keep working hard and listening and praying. That's what I do."

Van Linebacker Dalton Santos has a simple theory on football.

"I just think about knocking someone's head off, knocking them out, really obliterating them in the hole and just knock their head off," said Santos, "That is what you want, to know that they think that Santos is a hard hitter, he is going to come down here and hit you in the mouth."

"A few weeks ago, he hit a guy, and he could not even stand up," said Santos's teammate Thomas Gable, "I was looking at him and I felt sorry for him, but he is against us, and it happens."

"I am glad he is on my team and not someone else's," said Moffatt, "I guarantee you."

What on earth? Who gets excited about a high school kid having his neck broken? Jeez man, please edit your post and I'll delete this. Completely out of line.

I asked Hubbs last night about this whole weight thing & the possibility of moving to DE w/ Santos & Hubbs said in his opinion Dooley & Sirmon are dead set on Santos playing MLB & nothing else.

If that's true & Santos indeed plays MLB for us we will be HUGE at that position Maggit 240lbs Santos 245-250lbs AJ Johnson 245lbs.

Throw in Peters & Harris at about 225-235lbs, & King & Henderson will both have to bulk up.

What's Lathers at? 230? He will be back next season also.

His lil brother is 6'1 290 and a freshman. DS will add more weight more than likely. I know he can control it somewhat with diet and exercise. But, natural growth and maturation tells me he's not finished growing or packing on muscle weight. I'm not saying move him like a lot of people do with recruits, I'm stating the obvious on this one. He's 250 now, give or take a biscuit in high school. I'd like to see him stay at MLB. But, with increased girth comes less mobility and speed. It will be interesting to see. I hope Santos and Croom both have the same results as Clear and stay at their positions.

From what jay said earlier, Santos has some bad weight around the stomach area. Hopefully we can reshape that weight without adding a whole whole lot of weight.

Just because he put a "!" doesn't me he was excited it happened. Take a break from the coffee and calm down...

The point was not to overlook Otha while penciling in Santos as a starter but it flew over your heads...

Riight...

I wasn't penciling anyone in as a starter. Maybe that's why "it flew over my head"

If you're going to assume everyone is penciling future freshman in as starters, why wouldn't I assume you're genuinely excited about a high school kids neck being broken? You even defended yourself by essentially saying "who cares if I'm okay with him killing someone"

Regardless, they are both coming to Tennessee. Not sure why you're admitting to the fact you're picking sides and trying to create drama.

Have a nice day...
