Im old enough to love our traditional look, but smart enougn to understand that Dooley could dangle the black helmets and jersey's in front of the team as a reward for a 6 and 0 start or whatever. I asked Jaques Smith about the black unis and he was all for it. He said that the team wants the black unis, but Dooley wasn't having it. You fossils need to understand that kids play this game and want to be stylish and different every once in awhile. Make em earn it and reward them a little. This would help with recruiting. I like the Stanford unis(need black pants) but hated the georgia unis (to much red).

Small Mike, Cosby Cattleman is that you??? sheesh Dave said it best tyring to mesh traditionalist and the student athletes and older and younger fans is tough but has to be done. On occasion I feel if the players want to do a gimmick as long as they don't run a season of alternate jerseys.

I think helmets are something you don't change. I can dig a throwback jersey for one game. I bet a flat black helmet would look awesome though.

That's what Ohio state and a bunch of others do with the stickers on the helmets. I think we should have that traditional logo as a sticker and reward our players in that way.

I think just the Vols would look great, if we do ever go for another option. Along with the Power T helmet.
