Yeah, I remember all the times over the years that we engaged in f bomb laden chants audible to a national television audience. Oh, that's right, we never did that. In fact, other than the subhumans at Maryland, I can't remember any student section ever making bigger idiots of themselves during a national broadcast.

Many colleges have curses in their chants directed at other schools or just in general. See Penn St., App. St., Georgia, Harvard, Oregon, and BC just to name a few. I can think of a lot worse things to get on TV about a school than , "f*** You Bama"

Really? Exactly what word or phrase is considered stronger content than the f word?

I was talking about rioting or shootings, etc. My point is there are worse things fans do than shouting curse words.

So, since idiots in Columbus set couches and cars on fire, our fans have license to engage in a chant that shows them to have the same amount of class as a group on work release? Nice standards, and we wonder how this country has been dumbed down.

Meanwhile, back at the hall of justice......I thought Neyland was a bit louder this year but how cool would it be if the "I will give my all for Tennessee Today" sign hung above each gate entrance. Interesting.

I think alot of the problem is ticket pricing. Alot of the younger, more vocal crowd cannot afford tickets, especially now. I can only go to one game a year, and its not usuallly the big games. If you got blue hair, you dont have to sit on your a-- and not cheer. Waving a orange flag really dont affect the other team. Get up and scream.

All ORANGE, more Rocky Top and chants/cheers, and if the need arises, more F*** You Bama's

Just about every week there is a college bb game that has the student section, and at times the whole arena, chanting "bu11shit" at the refs after a questionable call. Never ceases to amaze me.

Synchronized F bombs=Much worse than bu**s**t.

how about having the ushers remove people who are complaining about fans who are cheering loudly.

oh, and give that obnoxious chick a seat right behind the opposing team's bench.

^^ that's an earlier post I made in this thread, but it got lost at the bottom of the first page.

With all the people that are rasing hell for the right reasons there are some just some idiots out there.

I went to a game one year and theres this guy trying to get the crowd up and loud and we had the ball. At first I tolerated it, the second time I tolerated it, then after he started getting just stupid I had to buck up and tell him he's an idiot.

Some people just don't know when to get loud. Anyone trying to get people loud in Neyland when Tennessee has the ball should be kicked in the ass for not knowing football.

That may be your opinion, but it still makes the fans look silly to chant any vulgarity, which was the point.

I would rather not have either chanted in unison.

If you have a reference that an f-bomb is much worse to say than bul*sh**, please let me know.

I think the renovation plans will take away some seating, so the capacity will go down.

The fans at the Cal game made a HUGE difference in how that game was played. Neyland rocked alot on that September afternoon.

That's what I was afraid that he money will go towards luxury suite upgrades, and reduce general seating.

That's too bad, with 50MM dollars you would think you could do both, add suites, and additional seating.
