What are your gameday traditions?

Home games, meet the crew down on the boat. Buffalo Chicken Dip (it's orange) in hand as always requested. Makers and coke to calm me down prior, and fire me up later. Away games are just pure randomness.

If I am watching with a group or at a bar and it is close I generally end up in my car listening on the radio. Sometimes I turn it off and on because I get so nervous. My heart will fail me one day.

- Wear an Orange shirt for home games and white one for away games. If we win, I stay with the shirt until we lose

- I make anyone watching with me do the same. If they don't have a UT shirt, I make them go to my closet and get one.

- I have to have my 1998 National Championship football that my dad gave me with me.

- Always sit in my UT chair.

- Put some soft items on the table beside me so I have something relatively safe to throw if the game doesn't go our way.

- Set my alarm in the morning to Rocky Top. I have 8 versions on my phone so if we win that game, I use that version next Saturday.

- If we win, I stick with my game shirt. If we lose, I wear a black on the rest of the day and on Sunday.

That's all I got.

and you told ME to grow up on another thread.....wow

Me and my brother-in-law get together and normally play a game of NCAA football on the xbox until game time. He always uses Miami, and of course I'm Tennessee.

Somehow I have been winning most of the games in the last few seasons, so either he just sucks, or I'm damn good. I go with the latter ;)

Is it weird that I don't like to watch UT games on tv with other people who aren't UT fans? Especially at sports bars

I used to watch Gameday but it seems like it has gotten worse over the last few years so maybe not so much this year. I like to watch the Al Pacino speech and a few other youtube videos. Thats about it unless I'm at work. In that case I'm pulling loudly for whoever is playing UGA or UA.(I know, I'm obnoxious).

If at Home: Gameday all day....watch other games....Watch UT game. I do not prefer to go to a game party. I like women, but they always take the prime seats by the TV and talk about every kid they have and everything but the game. NO THANKS. Maybe 1 or 2 other couples if devoted fans.

If we go to the game: Leave out w/ battle flags mounted. Cracker Barrel for a Big Orange Momma's Pancake Breakfast to make sure I'll have bathroom issues later. Talk to some UT fans that are suckin' on a toothpick outside at the Rocking Chairs. Then drive up. Park in front of the Delt House. Walk up to tailgating friends across from Gibbs. Catch VolWalk if we have time. We try to arrange to meet up with our daughter up there for a few then make plans for after with her. Catch the band from the inside corner. Go to the game! Then, 5 hour energy and a Sun Drop for the ride home because everyone else is asleep by Oak Ridge!

There is nothing worse than sitting at a sports bar after a loss in all orange and listening to other idiots comments then having to do the walk of shame out to the car. No thanks. At least if I am at home when we lose I can ignore everyone

Usually hang my Vols flag on the front porch to declare to my Big 12 neighbors that real football is being played today in the southeast. Wear my orange all day. Grill out and mentally focus on what the Vols have to do to win. I provide a verbal scouting report of the opponent to my wife, who is only concerned about what the Sooners did today. I usually quote the WWE's the Rock and say, "It doesn't matter what the Sooners did today." I pace back in forth in front of the TV and I am on the phone or texting my two brothers about the game. During last years Oregon game I drank too much and threw up all night. Hope that doesn't happen this year with Montana

I wake up and ask everyone in the house the same question until they reply correctly and with enthusiasm.

"What day is it?"..... Reply: GAMEDAY!

Me & my 3 kids say "Go Vols" and take a big drink of orange crush @ kick off. That is my favorite tradition.
