Starters That Kiffin Recruited

You should also make a note of returning starters, I think there are 3. What does that say about past recruiting efforts?

Schoefield (who...if you're counting Smith for Fulmer then you'd have to count for Fulmer as well) and Bohanon aren't starters...they have been replaced by Martin (a Fulmer recruit) and Bullard (I guess you would say he's a Dooley "recruit")

Correct. And when you add M. Jackson, that gives CDD 10 of the 24 starters. That's a lot with only one full class.

Your inclusion of those two makes your intent to be positive. I'm actually playing the middle. I like Dooley, but he gets credit for some things he didn't do. Just saying...

He did recruit Jackson and Hunter...neither were coming here before he did...

He did in fact do these things...you're trying to ignore that he did to make your point

Not after they attended class the next day which was about 3 weeks before Dooley was hired.

Kiffin and orgeron told them not to go to class. Are you saying that they couldn't recruit their own recruits well enough to follow them to USC?

Ultimately this all says Kiffin was great at hyping the name Kiffin whereas Dooley is about building the UT program.

I'll take Dooley!

Chaney was responsible for Bray. Had Chaney went west Bray wouldn't be here. I think Thompson was responsible for James not positive though. And schofield isn't a starter.

Both Kiffin assistants. If you want to get into that, you have to give a lot of Dooley's credit to Sirmon, Chaney, Joseph, etc.

Which I do. Chaney was retained by dooley if not I doubt Bray stays.

Daniel Hood
Marsalis Teague
J Schofield
Tyler Bray
Channing Fugate
Zach Fulton
Jawuan James
Michael Palardy

Won't count J Smith since he was originally committed to Fulmer.
Won't count J Hunter since he committed to Dooley, but the word was Kiffin had already switched him.

That's 8 out of 24 starters. 1/3 of our team. He missed on a bunch of guys, but he got these players too.

Fulmer recruited these starters:

Willie Bohannon
Austin Johnson
Herman Lathers would be a starter if he wasn't injured.
Tauren Poole
Pre Waggner
Dallas Thomas

We will count this as 5, since Lathers is injured.

Dooley's recruited these starters:

Da'Rick Rogers
Mychal Rivera
Brent Brewer
Justin Coleman
Curt Maggitt
AJ Johnson
James Stone
Matt Darr

Totals to 8. Kiffin recruited the same amount of starter than Dooley in less time. Just wanted to point that out. I'm not a negavol for posting truth and I'm not a fan of Kiffin, just posting facts for the naysayers.

Shouldn't juniors and sophomores be expected to start over freshman. They both recruited about 1.5 classes, not much time difference either.

Go look through the Justin Hunter recruiting thread. It's in there quite a few times.

It was mentioned several times Humphries was coming also.

Here's my link from a previous thread.

Hunter is Dooleys guy. The West Coast Weasel can't claim this one.

Ocean Lakes receiver Hunter headed to Tennessee | HamptonRoads.com | PilotOnline.com

Ocean Lakes standout receiver Justin Hunter, who committed to LSU last spring, has de-committed and is headed to Tennessee.

Hunter, 6-foot-4 and 185 pounds, made the decision late Tuesday night, and his coach, Chris Scott, said “this decision is final.”

Scott also said Hunter got to know new Tennessee football coach Derek Dooley, the former Louisiana Tech coach and son of legendary Georgia coach Vince Dooley.

“With the little bit of time he’s been able to establish with (coach Dooley),” Scott said, “he felt a little more comfortable and more trusting with this guy than the other Tennessee staff.

You're wrong. Take off the Orange Shades.

I'm absolutely right about what I said in the post you quoted...you can't prove otherwise so you're telling me to take off the shades...

You should just stop...you're trying way to hard to put a negative spin on what Dooley has done here
