SEC Hoops -- nice start

Yeah, but we were not at full strength (Horford out, others recovering from mono). You also pointed out to me some time ago that Florida's biggest enemy this year will be complacency and while they put in a lackluster early season effort at FSU, I think that they are probably going to feel the need to prove something in February against both UT and South Carolina.
They had something to prove in the second meetings against those teams last year. How did that turn out for them?

Wow. . . .only 2 days into SEC basketball and LG is already talking Gator Smack.

Speaking of Gator Smack, I'm having trouble locating my jpeg of C.J.'s "Down Goes Joakim!" shot last year. Any helpers?

Nope, just stop missing them
Negative...stop shooting them! The worst thing that can happen when a 4 or 5 man shoots a three pointer is that he makes it. All that does is make him want to shoot it again and therefore play out of position.

I am not sure if this has been brought up yet. However, Childress needs to stop shooting three pointers...along with Bradshaw.
The three Childress hit to put them up four was the biggest shot of the game yesterday.

Agreed. We have plenty of perimeter talent, but these two birds are not in that nest.

Horford played 26 minutes against FSU, find another excuse.

Thats what happens when your team wins the NC. I remember being around gator fans after Spurrier won an NC. uggh

Seems like Brewer is always out with something. You'd think the Gators could function without him by now.

Would Lofton start on UNC or Duke?
Hard to say he wouldn't. I certainly think he's better than anyone Duke is running out there. While I think Wayne Ellington will eventually be a better player, I don't see anyone on Carolina's roster right now who would be more productive.

Lofton is the reason you are as good as you are. Yes, you have talent to build on, but its young and inexperienced. I like Lofton a lot, very soft-spoken and unassuming. Gets it done on the court. Wish we had his ball handling skills.

Florida 05-06 wasn't all that experienced, either.

True, but they are a very special bunch. Gifted as they come and play very unselfishly.

You also didn't know at the beginning of the 2005=2006 season that the team was a special bunch. Tennessee this season is amazingly talented and also play quite unselfishly. And no, in no way am I saying we're championship caliber right now, but you act as if college basketball is predictable, when it's anything but.

Dang, hat with Pro Vol and Pro Lofton posts.

As for law, that is uneducated to say we are horriible inside. We came into the game yesterday leading the conference in offensive rebounding and we haven't exactly been playing Manhattan and Florida A&M. We had a bad game yesterday but it didn't help that one of our best rebounders was in foul trouble much of the game.
