I have no problem with you. Just have a problem with our players recruiting for other schools. If you can't see that Tennessee fans might have a problem with that, then you probably shouldn't call others ignorant. Have a nice night. :hi:

Tennessee could have said to hell with him when he was busted smoking weed in a car with a recruit. Don't give me this bs that he did us some kind of favor by sticking around. Tennessee did more for him than he could EVER do in return. Loyal to Trooper is correct. Loyal to Tennessee? Nope. Wait , I take that back ...He loved Tennessee when Trooper was there , so I guess Trooper wins on both accounts. Jones knows what he did. He did it thinking it would never get out. He failed. I'm sure he told you the same story he told the media. The truth hurts. So does Tiny.

it's amazing how you guys blow something out of proportion and get it in your head that a guy like Jones is a traitor, non vol, whatever. Kid put 4 years of everything he had into Tennessee and some vague information comes out that he might have said a former coach was a good coach (which he was, so he wouldn’t be lying anyways). If you want to be mad at someone, be mad at Trooper for putting Jones in that position.

If this was indeed what happened (and I have no reason to believe it isn't) then I don't like it but it's not gonna make me stop rooting for the kid either. I always pull for Vols in the NFL and I plan on doing the same for GJ.

That came across as the type of case where Taylor straight took advantage of Jones. Certainly a poor decision by Jones to take the call, but I'm sure it was a tricky situation in which he was put on the spot. I understand being upset but completely dismissing everything he's done for UT and even insulting him is a bit much, especially considering the lack of real details.

I highly doubt Jones intentionally recruited Wright to Auburn for Taylor.

He did get very vocal and critical of UT toward the end of his time in Knoxville which makes it a believable rumor....still a rumor so I'll side with jones on this one. We should all give the players the benefit of the doubt.

Some of you dopes need to cool it on Jones. He hates all the BS that recruits have to shift through, and he told the truth - but none of it negative.

Regardless, none of this erases that fact that he represents Tennessee, and the better he does, the better it reflects on Tennessee.

I hope we can show recruits another successful WR that came from UT and made it big in the NFL.

Hope Jones gets to do this a lot more this season :loco:

Umm, ya why not? Other than Jackson and Maclin, all those guys are very average and beatable for a roster spot.

I don't think some of you guys realize the type of relationships that are built by players and coaches that they play for or even that recruit them. It's really not that uncommon for a player to tell a recruit what they liked about different places or what kind of man a coach is when asked. Jones said some nice things about the man that he committed to play for in college to a recruit. I fail to see how that makes him a bad person or any less of a VFL. He didn't trash UT and actually said some nice things about Dooley and Knoxville. People need to get over themselves.
