That's two 4* in one week, could very well be 3 with Croom announcing Friday. Love what this coaching staff is doing right now.. V,B!! :loco:

Rivals will admit that we are doing good in recruiting however; they will add BUT somewhere in the paragraph.

i go by espn. idon't pay any attention to rivals. ifeel like espn does a better job. if croom commits 8-18, that should put us around 15 or 16. rivals can bite me.

We're not in the top 25 right now just because a couple commits haven't been evaluated and it's bringing the score down. Once the new rankings are out later this month we'll move up significantly. Even if those guys who have no stars right now were just 3stars we'd be in the top 25. Thunder would know exactly where we'd be, he has the formula.

Screw the star raters. Dooley is doing an impressive job of filling the needs of the program. We ow need some defensive tackles and ends to go along with the strong classes we have hauled in at linebacker and defensive back.

If Dooley can recruit beast guys like this just wait til we are back to the Good ole Tennessee VOLS Can wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the Blanc kid will be rated higher. I have no reason to say that, but for the facts that (A) he is white and a skill player offered by an SEC school, and (B) the weakness of East Tennessee football will be overlooked for his glaring stats.

I know, I know, Racist, IMO. I'm ready, but come on. All you chubby white guys out there thought the same thing!

We have 6 months to get some good DTs. Many have not yet committed and some could decommit. A couple of really good ones will round out the class nicely. After a good season, many will look around and see opportunity for early PT on an up and coming team in the SEC. The key is to get them on campus. I would like 2 more with Jacobs, but I am satisfied with where we are now.

We have a few guys like Peterman, Santos, Peters, etc who gave garnered a lot of attention from camps and I have to imagine some will get a bump (yes I know we always say this) but between Lewis and Santos who are much higher on other sites I can't imagine that no one gets a bump

However even if they don't, I think Coleman is proof that this staff knows what they are looking at even if Rivals doesn't

The disparity in sites is puzzling...Santos is the number 1 rated ILB by ESPN, Rivals, a 3* player.

Henderson is a 4* on ESPN, hasn't even been evaluated by Rivals.

Rivals needs to tighten up, or they're going to be so yesterday.

I don't care about rankings, I'm not "on board" with this class until we get some DT's...

If we get Croom, I'm pretty sure we'd have the biggest group of WRs in the world. We'd just need to get in the redzone, throw it up, and then laugh as everyone tries to out jump our guys.

According to Scout, there are only 15 of the Top 40 Defensive Tackles uncommitted and UT has only offered 5 of these 15. Of those 5, we seem to only have a legitimate shot at 3. I hope Dooley and Co. are working some "Under the Radar" magic because I am not satisfied with where we are now!
