What I heard was Missouri, Clemson or FSU for a total of 14 teams not 16 but who knows. As much as I love SEC football I am so F******G sick of the business side of it. It's all money with no regard for traditions. The SEC is the best conference in America for a reason and expansion is a horrible idea.
Missouri makes the most sense out of those three. The other two bring nothing to the table. Maryland, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Va Tech, and North Carolina all would make sense also. FSU and Clemson add nothing.

Most of the superior talent does indeed stay Texas, why would D Moore disagree? he's one of few and he was a package deal guy for Creer

Wow, I thught it was a done deal. I wouldn't mind TAMU coming to the SEC but who else would come onboard? I really could care less about FSU or Clemson.

Sounds like the SEC couldn't find a 14th member and didn't really pursue a 14th member. The Big 12 wants aTm to stay in the conference. A lot can change by the next time this topic comes up, however. I'd expect the SEC to look different by 2014, 2013 at the earliest.

Actually, it sounds like they're avoiding legal troubles by actually waiting until A&M leaves the big 12 before extending an invite...

Didn't the PAC invite Colorado or the Big 10 invite Nebraska first?

Maybe the defection came first for both. I just assumed they got the invites prior to leaving officially.

Not sure, but I remember that Colorado was penalized financially for leaving.

Ah, didn't recall that. Or even know about the Big East thing, but it isn't surprising after their two strongest schools left for the ACC. Interesting stuff, nonetheless.

Im with you. Change is apparently inevitable whether we like it or not. I just hope to see it get put off for as long as possible.
