People are overlooking how big of a homer site that A&M site is. Santos said there's nothing to worry about, so why all the discourse all of a sudden? He said not to worry so I'm not going to worry.

Ask jmoore. Maybe he intended to bring an opinion based on what he read from "a source," but only he is to blame for blowing it out of proportion.

If you knew how much more programs and the conference would make in TV revenue contracts, you may be for it. But, I'm not, JMO.

It's not about the money for me if it's going to compromise the game. People seem to get more enjoyment out of having multiple little "social club" conferences with their own storylines. Love the fact that ACC people can talk crap with ACC people, SEC, PAC12, and such. The variety is what I like. If it all gets lumped together, I think it will take away from the storyline every year. It'll push out all the little teams and give the major powers the ability to do what they want. I guess I just like the "purity" of it now. Superconferences just reeks of money corruption.

If A&M were in the the SEC they would be the 3rd best team this year, people on here are really underestamating A&M.IMO, but I think our facilities are better than A&Ms

im sorry but fan wise, tu doesnt even come CLOSE to A&M. thats like comparing Tennessee fans to Memphis fans. whorns leave at halftime if their team is losing or its to hot. A&M dont do that. the whorns might have more fans in general, but those are t shirt fans. its not even close. Go to an A&M game then go to a texas game. Those two wont even be in the same universe, i can promise you that.

Weird that Tennessee kids don't flock to Memphis State for football like Texas kids do to Texas if that's a fair comparison. You would think you and Texas would be switched when it came to recruiting every year.

I completely agree with you. It's great to have the variety and old rivalries. Unfortunately, money talks.

an A&M recruit and commit at the time told his recruiter to stop worrying about him decommitting and go take a vacation in Mexico. 3 days later he decommitted and eventually signed with USF. Corey Nelson is another example. Everyone was worried he would flop his commitment to A&M over to OU. The day before signing day, he sent all A&M mods at text saying, "Can't wait till I become an Aggie in the morning" and also called himself Mr. A&M. that signing day he signed with OU. dont trust what all recruits say.

1. Didn't realize the A&M site was so much a homer site.

2. It's recruiting. There's always disaster (or at least drama) lurking around every corner.

I simply don't want A&M in the SEC if it could possibly interfere with the annual Bama game. It isn't a SEC season without UT/Bama playing on the third or fourth Saturday in October.

Look at both instances.... he switched from A&M to USF and A&M to OU. What's that tell you?

i didnt know having a better fanbase then another team meant beating them out for recruits?? thanks for teaching me something :hi:

We had that happen about 18 months ago. JC Copeland, I believe it was.

They wouldn't be the 3rd best team in the west, let alone the conference.

that tells you that i only follow A&M recruiting. I can give you instances where recruits told that to certain sites while committed to that school and then switched over to A&M. Bralon Addison. Kenneth Marshall. Dalton Santos even said that to OSU mods.

You would think by having the most die-hard fans in Texas, it would lead to getting the best recruits in Texas rather than that other university with the wishy-washy fan base. Sounds like an inferiority complex to me.

Aggie you can bump this thread all you want but Santos is a Vol and y'all have to deal with it. Maybe, just maybe, your team will be blessed with the opportunity to play in our cavernous stadium and watch Mr. Roadhouse Santos take the head off of any unlucky ball carrier wearing purple.

not when your team is going 4-8 while the other team is going 12-1. Please just go to a texas game and then an A&M game. i will put down my lifes savings that A&M will have the better fans/atmosphere.
