A&M would gain so much from joining the SEC. First and foremost, they would get Santos. Secondly....who cares about anything else. They would get Santos, that in itself is worth the move.

That's what I scene on a A&M site.

Yup, I SCENE it too. Worth it to move conferences to get a kid that has never played a down of college football, much less his senior year. I SCENE'T IT. IT'S TRUE. Love the fact we have a verbal from Santos but wow. To think that a recruit would make a university change conferences is absurd.

cant speak for the mods, only can speak about what ive been told. radio stations across the SE have been talking about A&M to the SEC. ive been to many other team sites, and this is the only one complaining about A&M to the SEC. It works out great for both schools? why does UT not want A&M in the SEC???

I would love to see atm go to the sec. I'm actually starting to dislike this school, would love to see them play quality competition in SEC. No more bragging about winning seasons in the crappy Big 12. Hope TN plays them in a bowl this year.

They would start sucking up the top talent from Texas. They would be tough to reckon with in a few years.

Let's be real people. You don't change conferences for one recruit. This isn't something they just thought about. He isn't even a 5 star.

But seriously a&m have been considering this for a while and if they can leverage the timing to try and influence a recruit then go for it.

We would all be impressed and excited if ut was doing the same thing.

And I think having a&m in the sec would be awesome. Big money. Big pipeline to Texas recruits and more tv money.

After hearing we could potentially lose the Bama game, then I say eff A&M

It just wouldn't be the same if we didn't play them every year. Tennessee and Alabama hate eachother , but this might be the only thing we would actually agree on.

I'm just not one for trying to fix what's not broken, and UT has everything it needs to succeed. I couldn't care less about the problems of tamu, ok, or whoever else is trying to run away from the Big Texas Conference.. One thing I guarantee is that they have no idea what its like playing an SEC team every week, and those teams may not like it as much as they think they would.. wins r a lot harder to come by in the SEC...that's why they make the big bucks.

You gotta start having some faith in your team. Hopefully, we have the right guy at coach right now. I personally like Dooley and think he could be. If he is, and is allowed time to get the program turned around everything will start to get better. If we start winning, recruiting will get better. Do you actually think TAMU is more prestigious then UT football wise?

rumor now has it that a formal invite is being drawn up for A&M right now as we speak.

Wow where's ur team's integrity? So u guys wanna join tha SEC n hopes of trying to sway Santos. If he wanted 2 play 4 u guys he would've committed. VFL.

First they would have to show kids they could compete in the SEC before any would want to sign up just because they are in the SEC. Secondly not only will it open the doors for some kids to sign with them but it will for other SEC schools as well. It will get more SEC games on TV in Texas and introduce them to real football.

Now personally I like the SEC the way it is. If it aint broke dont fix it.
