'12 NC OT D.J. Humphries

DJ passed on the opportunity to be part of a truly great O-line at Tennessee, coached by the best...for a promise of early playing time and individual importance at Florida. Maybe he bought a con job, or maybe he just wanted to go further from home. Lose, lose.

or maybe he made the decision he thought was best for himself and his family. no.... couldn't be....

"I've been behind the scenes recruiting for awhile," Humphries said. "They've put together a great class. We're working on a lot of guys in this state, trying to take over North Carolina."

==================

Humphries won't help the foundering Gators this year.

Then let's see what kind of class they end up with in February.

If DJ said this, I think he's talking out his backside. If he had been recruiting for UF, word would have gotten back to our coaches, and they wouldn't have felt as confident as they did(per Skeeter). I just don't buy it. Some recruit would have spoken up if DJ was selling the gators.

That quote caught my attention too. How could you be recruiting for UF and and giving UT alot of attention?

Agreed. Makes him look like a liar as well. Thought he didn't know where he was going until last week. Cest la vie, don't bother me.
I've got a name that made me not care at all

Dalton Santos.

Why are we still talking about this douche? He is now the enemy,F%@k him. Cant wait to see him get owned by the Vols.

This is a football forum. Im not worried about being classy or PC. If you want class go on the New Yorker Forum. I guess i should say, im sure he made the best decision for him and his family, best regards.nope. If he is gator he is the enemy.period

He is an EE so it won't go all the way to signing day UGA. He is going to take his OV, so this isn't completely over yet. I don't like our chances but everyone should remember that things change a lot in recruiting.

Saying he is now the enemy is not the part of your original quote that made you sound like an idiot.

Very true. I have seen my fair share of crazy recruiting stories. All I'm saying is you never know and there's always a possibility until the pen signs the paper.

True. I just don't think there is anyone has any reason to be mad at this kid. He is just a football prospect doing what he thinks is best. Sure I don't like Florida and I want to beat them on the field, but I do wish the kid success.

he's an EE i bet he can get up to 290ish and play his first yr thats only about 25lbs in 8 months

i think our coaches prefer to get em lean then too fat

I know this is recruiting and anything can still happen, but id kind of like to see this thread go away for a little while. At least until it gets closer to his OV here.

Of course, off the field i wish the guy the best.

He wont be taking an OV to TN, he stated he was taking them to far off places he had never visited. He's stated he would probably visit Texas and USC, but that he would not be back to visit TN
