Michigan isn't as sure as 99gator is about them landing O'Brien.

The Michigan fellows that I do a good deal of chatting with believe the Vols still lead and will land O'Brien.

If it's UT vs. VT, we have a mammoth advantage in facilities, gameday atmosphere, conference, etc. Which of course probably doesn't mean jack if Kirven really likes the VT coaches more than ours, but it can't hurt.

After reading the Michigan board, all things point to Pipkins is already on board with them. O'Brien apparently was quoted as saying that he hoped Michigan would decide on taking 2 more DTs. The only way we get Danny...is in Michigan passes on him.

So you're willing to believe a random poster on their board about this supposed quote yet you're skeptical of all of the postive info about DO in this thread?

Of course he wouldn't want to get his offer pulled if he is still undecided. That doesn't mean he definitely wants to go to UM. He would have committed before Pipkins, if he definitely wanted that.

I hate to jump on the troll wagon but I've heard the same. I think a lot of these kids love UT but one factor or another pulls them in a different direction.

Maybe I missed the positive news coming from O'Brien saying he was ready to commit to Tennessee. Because that IS the word on the UM board following the BBQ. It seems Pipkins may have beat him to the punch. If they really only can take 1DT...then his decision for Tennessee may have been made for him. I don't think Michigan will turn him down. JMO

There was plenty of news just like that on here after his visit here in July...but you seem to be ignoring that...

You're quoting the word from their board but ignoring the word that came from our board...

One of UM's posters was on here saying that if he made it out of the BBQ weekend without committing that we should feel very good....but you skipped right past that one too...

I know you're just "calling it like you see it"...the problem is you always see "it" in a negative light for UT

As you know, I'm here pretty regularly....and I can't think of anything postive you've said about our recruiting off the top of my head...

I'm sure I'm not the only one who would say this

He was pretty positive during that long string of commits. You could argue he is only happy if we are averaging 5 commits a day, but you can't sit and say that he is purely negative.
