Now back to O'Brien. A while back I thought the longer his recruitment drug out the better for us. I now think that may not be the case. The more time he is spending back home and chatting it up with all the local kids staying in state can't be good for us.

We'd better not lose O'Brien too, right after DJ and Santos.

If we lose all three and don't manage to land Autry or Kirven to boot, I will join the "Dooley's recruiting method doesn't work/can't work in the SEC" crowd.

Yeah, I might too. That or just "the university of Tennessee is not capable of signing defensive linemen."

I would be extremely worried if all that were to happen.

But but but saban said dooley was his best recruiter!!! Lmao. Truth is we don't have a coach that's known as a great recruiter. The one we did have we traded to keep mr. Sermon.

i think it's time for some of you to consider an alternate possibility.

the possibility being that i might actually be bringing some credible information to the table and might actually be right.

i know it sounds crazy and far fetched, but it is possible.

I'm not sure he was *known* as a great recruiter. We all hoped he would grow into one, but I am equally hopeful that Sirmon will.

I think that it is too early to dog Dooley on this class. And, I'm fairly happy with the work the staff did with regard to the 2011 class.

:lolabove: I needed some humor to start my day. Thank you sir.

99 I've said time and again your a solid poster but I'm not a fan during recruiting. Your smug about FL recruiting and you mostly stir up the insecure of VN. You have reason to be smug, you certainly have the constitution and Freak's good will to stir up those scared but it doesn't make you a great contributor in recruiting.

No problem dude. I don't expect TN to win a lot of recruiting battles this year. Dooley and staff are still building relationships in the areas they want to recruit and that takes time with the large area they have to work with. It's not Florida where they are all in your own back yard. Recruiting is hard work at Tennessee. I would expect us to do much better next year. If not then I will worry.

Lmfao if your pretending to simply be passing along facts.

FTW: a dominant FL state doesn't hurt FL in recruiting really just hurts TN...my translation

Not sure I see the need to jump all over 99 for passing along what he herad. We'll eventually find out if he heard right or wrong. I hope he's dead wrong
