2006 Vols in 2005...

How do you all think this year's Vols would have done playing last year's schedule? Honestly, I think the record might be pretty similar.

Losses to:
Florida, LSU, Georgia, Notre Dame, possibly Bama and/or Vandy.

I think this year's team would be probably be 6-5 last year, or maybe 7-4. I don't thiknk the improvements is as drastic as previously believed.

What does everyone else think?

We wouldn't lose to either last year's Vandy or Bama with the way Ainge and the offense dramatically improved this year IMO.

Possibly, but I think this year's offense has been a little overrated.

True. The running game was non exsistant which was part of the reason we had to pass so much. Kind of like the Detroit Lions. Their QB is #3 in the NFL in yards. I bet no one could have guessed that one.

Add in Gerald Riggs and you'd have a pretty balanced attack. Fulmer's inability to even produce a winning season with the team we had in 2005 is reason enough for him to be fired, in my opinion.

I wish Rob Smith hadn't left school early.

He left because Jimmy Ray was fired, right?

That's what he said. If he "bled orange" or "played for the T" or whatever he would have stayed around for another year. Hypothetically, had Casey Clausen left early because Randy Sanders was fired, I'm sure fans would have ripped into him.
