Just as we should save these posts for the end of next season! Views are views, however mine did change after the Arky game. The more things change, the more things stay the same. Get use to it nation, we will be having the same conversations in 08!

I think it is interesting how many many Vol Fan felt that beating Penn State was a virtual certainty and that Fulmer would have another ten win season.

Well, Tennessee's mediocrity showed yesterday. And the Fulmer has yet another lack luster year, can we all say 9 and 4......... I am soo tired of hearing that Fulmer is the best thing since sliced bread........ many coaches can go 9 and 4 at UT for much less money.

I watched last night as Boise State choked away a 28-17 4th quarter lead. Their defense gave up a touchdown and game tying 2 pt conversion with under 2 minutes. On their very next play the QB threw a pick six for the go ahead td with about a minute and a half left. Talk about a momentum changer. Talk about a team who had every reason to fold it up and quit. They were, after all, supposesd to lose, and they had already proven that they could hang in there with the big boys. Guess who won the game.

Where is that ability to put a play like that behind us? We still had nearly the entire 4th quarter to play, and a one score deficit. We just folded it up and quit.

At least we have a great bball coach in Bruce Pearl and that program is on the way up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fulmer may not LIKE mediocrity, but whether he has what it takes to AVOID it seems to be in doubt.

So true. If you consider 1998 to be an aberration where the breaks went Phil's way and 2005 to be an aberration where the breaks went against him then he has really been nothing but mediocre his entire tenure.

how many losses did stoops and oklahoma have this year? how many losses did gruden and tampa have? use examples that make sense. we didn't lose to boise state. tony dungy never shows emotion, and chuck noll and his four super bowls rarely showed emotion, oh yeah bobby bowden and his more wins than any other coach has never shown alot of fire. now that's how you make your point with good examples. fire has little to do with coaching or ron zook would still be at florida.

We would have lost in embarrassing fashion to Boise State. Also, college football is very different from the NFL.

Agreed. Fulmer's lack of emotion is a non-issue. Plus he has too many other faults that are more obvious and meaningful.

i didn't use tha example of gruden, tha other guy did. talk to him. i also disagree with tha losing in embarrassing fashion to boise state comment. that's kinda of hard to say. i'm sure if we had not of played cal you would also say we would lose to them.

I said all along we would slam Cal. They haven't beaten a good team in at least three years. After watching Boise against OU, I think they would destroy us.

Boise outcoached Stoops, who is universally recognized as one of the best coaches in the country. What do you think they would do against Fulmer...besides laugh?

I give more credit to Boise achieving in that game, than OU failing. Boise played awesome. That being said, Boise would kill UT.

the point is, he makes 2 million a year and you don't, and their is tha main problem you have with him. mark it down, within tha next 2 years tennessee will win a sec championship and be in a bcs bowl game.
