Those calling for Fulmer's head

Not committing any NCAA recruiting violations, helping expand Neyland Stadium several times, increasing the amount of money donated from donors to the VASF (which helps more kids go to school), and it is his success that impressed Bruce Pearl when Pearl was considering Tennessee as a coaching job.

The stability that Fulmer has had is what every coach strives to get, and that makes us a much better school because of the stability. The great coaches do not get canned in times of trouble, and Fulmer has won enough to not be in trouble for his job at the current moment.

so what about becoming the new century's version of the Miami Hurricanes and getting all these player arrests? your post seems more like a Hallmark card. you have nothing real to back up your belief. bottom line is fulmer isn't winning the big games anymore and he's not getting SEC championships. quit living in the past and realize the game has evidently past fulmer by

I am looking at the future, and when I see quality players like Eric Berry coming to UT, I know that the future is bright.

This doesn't even mention the quality players we already have.

We had the number one recruiting class 2 years ago. so we are in their future now. Sure does not seem so bright with those players. Eric Berry and the like will not single handedly change the program.

What makes you think better players are going to make a difference. Fulmer had by far the more talented team today and it didn't matter one bit. He hasn't won anything since 98. For $2million+ per year 8-9 wins doesn't get it. What is with the infatuation with this guy. I'm missing something.

I don't think we should fire Fulmer. We are getting a great recruiting class in 2007, and we know that Cutcliffe and Chavis can coach up top-notch talent. I think the winning formula is back - Fulmer recruits, Cutcliffe and Chavis coach. We probably need to shore up some position coaching, but all in all I think the next 3 years are going to be good ones.

Chavis sucks!

If you fire ol Phil, im sure Coach Spurrier would love to have him on his staff at SC. Man what a team that would be.

I am sure if we showed up at Spurriers house with 6 million a year for 10 years that he would be decked out in orange and white as the new head coach next year. He would bolt to UT in a heartbeat if Fulmer was gone and we showed him enough cash.

Don't kid yourself by saying he wouldn't.

Phil Fulmer = Johnny Majors.

Majors got alot of mileage out of his national championship too.

I say let's fire phil and bring back Johnny!

We can even dig up Neyland and bring him back if we have to.

It's pretty sad when we can't even beat State Penn.

Yesterday's game gave new meaning to the phrase:
"One legged man in an ass kicking contest" .

That one legged man "Joe-Pa" sure kicked ours!

Fulmer does need to be held accountable.. 2007 should be fulmers last chance.. someone said we expect a NC.. ok lets not say that needs to happen.. not even an sec title.. how about just winning the east and finishing a season in the top 10.

Like it or not, UGA was down this year.

Which, in comparison, makes our season look worse.

They had the same record as us.
They beat more ranked teams then we did.
They beat a higher ranked team then we did.
They got better as the season went on.

Flush Fulmer, staff et al and replace with Jim Mora.

As a Falcons fan, let me be the first to say...

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

This guy is completely immature (which makes me really doubt if his team would have any discipline), his teams quit on him (something we already have problems with at UT), his cant control his emotions, and he absolutely fails at making any adjustments.

Ive read some people think Alabama might go after him if/when they dont get Saban. This would be PERFECT for UT. This guy would all but seal up a win for every third saturday he is a part of...Auburn could also start printing out "one for the big toe" shirts right away.

Say what you will about Fulmer, but he personally doesnt humiliate the team and he can control his emotions.

Cut Fulmer some slack, we made huge strides over last year. Every great program is entitled to a lull.

Vol fans and I am a big vol fan, but those of you that think this group of coaches can coach are not thinking straight. Do you remember how much talent they had in the mid 90's and did nothing with it. As much as I respect these coaches, I think it is time for them to move on.
