Explosions in Norway

Is that the same US that practiced forced segregation at the time? Had Japanese internment camps? Was allied with Stalin?

From a moral standpoint, I am not about to say that the US was definitively more moral than Nazi Germany.

we killed people in the internment camps? you don't get degrees do you? you are like the guy who complains he's in jail for killing his wife because the judge is unfaithful to his.

I do not argue scope very much; I would rather argue principle. Principle holds firm; scope changes with the breeze.

they blame us because we are the top dog. this isn't unusual at all in history.

rofl. In history people usually blamed those who enslaved them/colonized them. This is completely different.

You're saying the world is 'jealous' of us. You sound like USC's former AD.

They hate us because we are obviously better than everyone else. Couldn't have anything to do with the fact that we don't respect their sovereignty.

There's certainly an envy issue there. But seems pretty obvious that the major source of friction is resentment for our having meddled in their internal affairs over and over again for sake of ensuring oil production.

If these countries didn't sit on so much of it, the US o' A would have been far less involved in those countries. Far less.

i'm not saying they are jealous. they see our culture taking over theirs and it scares them. our music, our tv, our movies.

they quite literally saw us shoot a plane out of the sky. But you're right, MTV is probably more of a reason.

i think you overestimate our political influence when it comes to their hatred and underestimate our cultural influence. it's the "westernization" of their culture they are pissed about. they don't want change.

In Iran? This argument might work for plenty of Arab states, but not Iran. Shia Islam is not literal. Persian Shias have embraced culture, science, art, etc. from Europe and Asia for fourteen hundred years.

yes, but we are talking degrees here. is anyone arguing that nazi germany wasn't worse than the US? or south africa during apartheid?

Or postapartheid South Africa???

The new communist government is certainly no better.

In their first six years of rule they killed more black
Africans than had been killed during the previous forty
years.

Since the ANC has taken over, more than 35,000 whites
have been murdered and they sing 'pass me my gun so
I can kill one more white' at their rallies, even the
president of the country.

It doesn't happen as in Norway with close to a hundred
at one time but rather two to six people being murdered
and butchered in their homes and isn't reported in
the American media so no one pays any attention.

More on the Norwegian culprit.

Norway Suspect Borrowed From Unabomber's Manifesto - FoxNews.com

Parts of the manifesto written by the suspect in Norway's terrorist attack were taken almost word for word from the writings of "Unabomber" Ted Kaczynski.

The passages copied by Anders Behring Breivik appear in the first few pages of Kaczynski's manifesto. Breivik changed a Kaczynski screed on leftism and what he considered to be leftists' "feelings of inferiority" -- mainly by substituting the words "multiculturalism" or "cultural Marxism" for "leftism."

You may want to go back and see how its going now. Droski is correct that the leaders of Iran feel threatened by the onslaught of western culture upon their youth.

embraced is quite an exageration. sure they'll take our science knowledge, but they still consider all our women whores.
