Honestly, I have not seen one Gator fan on this board that is not pulling for the Vols. Matter of fact, on all of the SEC boards I visit, they are rooting for the Vols. Maybe you have an attitude that causes the UF fans around you to pull against us. Just a thought.

i for one hate va tech so i'm rooting for UGA!!! They've made a real good comeback and should be a great 10 minutes left in this game.. GO DAWGS!!!

sorry have to go for the almighty SEC over any conference even if I hate the team. do not like florida bama or georgia, but would never ever ever pull for no wanna be Hokies over them. Go SEC!!!! and GO VOLS all the time

While you could argue that it makes recruiting tougher for other SEC teams to be successful, it should actually help overall. The best wants to play against the best.

I still don't think I can bring myself to root for UF... maybe I won't watch the game...

Bama is the only blemish so far. What an embarassing bunch of chokers they are...

lol.. i just got on getacow.com and ordered a few of those for some tech fans that are friends of mind haha just to remind them of the game in 6-8weeks haha:)

This year, more than I've noticed in the past, the sports media, mostly espn I guess, seems to be making a big deal out of conference performances in the bowl win talley. After the UGA win, the SEC is 3-1, tying them for tops so far. The Pac-10 hasn't faired so well. I suppose I'm noticing that I have a little more SEC pride and loyalty than I realized. I rooted for UGA tonite, and I will root for Florida on the 8th. Nothing whatsoever compels me to root for Va Tech or the Buckeyes. To root against these SEC teams just because they're our rivals would make me feel a little petty. But that's just little ole' me.

We see things differently. To me, they're only our rivals when we're on the field with them, or when the outcome affects our season's destiny. Not everyone feels the way you do.

Yes! How many times do you have to bring this up? Any school, be it SEC, or out of conference, that we play needs to win. Kids at home think of such things, and that plays into where they want to go to school. If we beat winners, it is so much better than beating losers. If every team we play loses, how good does that make us look by beating them?:eek:k:
