Someone on our board is working the UA camp and they said Santos was with his dad on campus and that he was ready to play in the SEC with his size.

Touched base w/ the Texas homie and he says Santos thought the trip to Bama was only "Okay"...

Says should be A&M/VOL battle.

Quick CDD send him an HD copy of Rick Clausen tearing A&M apart in the Cotton Bowl!! Oh, that was a thing of beauty.

They could have used the 19th man that day.

Personally, I'd rather have Santos over any other LB on our board. Kid seems to be exactly what you look for in an SEC MLB. If we somehow closed with he and Allen, then I'd be one happy camper.

I really like this guy now that he said his visit to the bammers was okay!!! Gotta love it.

Hope his visit increases our chances, definite take.

It'll be interesting to see how it works out. You have to assume that both LBs committed are OLBs (if they plan on Henderson playing LB). And they're in relatively good shape with:

Santos (MLB)
Peters (OLB)
Lewis (MLB)
Neal (MLB/OLB)
Allen (OLB)

Would love to know how the staff has that group ranked.

Rank: sexy.

Goal: all of them.

I think when the dust settles we will get Peters, Neal, and Lewis.

Allen to FSU.

Santos to A&M.

Dawson to Clemson.

I wouldn't be mad about that. Long way to go and alot of things can change though.

“This past week I really had it narrowed down to Alabama and Texas A&M,” Santos said. “I told (Tennnessee linebackers) coach (Peter) Sirmon I would come down there because I really respect the guy.

My dad and I have been a lot of places together,” Dalton said. “It was basically the same thing everywhere you go, but he really liked it here. It is a beautiful part of the country. He really enjoyed it and enjoyed what they have to offer.

“I enjoyed the staff and the campus,” he said. “There are so many good things about the campus, it is gorgeous, the facilities are great, I have been to a lot of places, the facilities are great now, but they are just getting better. That is really cool that they are still improving there.”

Santos has noted that Texas A&M is still in the mix, but it is evident that the style of football in the SEC is conducive to his football mindset.

“The SEC is a big thing to me for sure. The Big 12, they are going to spread the ball out, they are to throw more times than run. In the SEC, that is what I do, I hit people, I come down hill, meet somebody in the hole and try to knock their head off,” he said.

“In the SEC they are running the ball all the time. They are trying to pound it down your throat. And coming from a linebacker, that is what you want. You don’t want them to drop back to throw it every play. You want to meet somebody in the hole and make a collision.”

doesn't look like we're in the final two. that sucks.

I know the optimism runs deep here, and seems like he had a good visit, maybe he'll change his mind, but I just don't him picking us after such a clear cut statement.
