Casual conversation in class, workplace, etc. But before I would ask a girl out or to "go ride around", we have to both be comfortable with each other. I'm sure if she was of similar mind-set to me (which is what I'm looking for I suppose) than she would want to take things slow as well.

Ok I see those things, but isn't that (if you're on the same innocent mindset) the same as those guys taking a ride together.....just conversation. I'm not saying that everytime stuff like that happens its all good clean christian fun, but not all girls that do that are super skanks either and it doesn't always end in sex and stds :hi: I do completely see and understand what you're saying though and I promise I'm not trying to bust on your viewpoints either

To expound further on this, we could meet at a diner for example and chat. She drives her car, I drive mine, both go do our own thing afterwords. TO me, to ride around with someone, just the two of you takes a lot of trust. It's just you and her, no one else. No one there for you except each other, no one to protect you or depend on than your companion. Just seems sacred to me...if that makes sense. Kinda like a mini-marriage...maybe I just think in metaphors though
I see what you're saying. I have rode with contractors before to jobs in the middle of nowhere, and yeah I've been leery at first, but now they are some of my best friends / customers and I could call them now and have whatever I wanted or needed, the friendship just required stepping out on faith. Now does this make me a hoochie because I rode with them? I don't think so, but if you just saw me do it or heard of me jumping in the truck with them then you're liable to think so if you judge it like that

You work with them, not the same thing. :hi:
I'm talking about girls that just randomly "hey I'm gonna ride with this guy".
I get what you're saying, I just don't want you missing the "one" while you're waiting....kinda like being at the airport when she comes riding in on the train, does that make sense to you?

You're probably right on some level, VT. But, if the "one" is the standard by which I'm to choose then, culturally, I have about a 50% chance of making that work in perpetuity, according to the current success rate of American marriages....
