I watched at work. Another living hero for our kids to look up to.

Makes me sick with people calling music and tv stars heroes.

There are alot of amazing acts of heroism and the medal should be given more IMO. Alot of posthumous but not many living.

I've had to pleasure to meet a MOH recipient. He let me hold his medal. I didn't ask to hold it, but he knew that I wanted too.

I hang my head to say I don't remember his name off hand. I've met several in my day, but not up close and personal like that. We were in the middle of training when it happened. He seemed just as happy to meet us as we were to meet him.

They are the people who deserve the rock and movie star treatment. Let the overpaid household names hold his bag of dirty laundry. They can make a living because of people like Salvatore Guinta and Leroy Petry.

Played a round of golf with one. Didn't figure it our for quite a while. Dude was 5'8" in stacks and couldn't hit it out of his shadow, but was a bad man. Anybody ready to look death in the eye multiple times to rescue others, he's a bad man.

Say it again

I took a Stern view of the CMOH recipients. People who get the daily headlines like Justin Timberlake are deeply indebted to the military heroes who give JT a chance to earn his fame in our free country.

Mila Kunis should get a bunch of her friends to go on a date and celebrate the sacrifices our service members make on a 24/7 basis.

The phrase "never judge a book by it's cover" comes to mind. Most of the guys I've met are in their late sixties or early seventies. Fraile looking grandpa types, but underneath is a dude that stared death in the face, killers man.

I missed the ceremony but heard some of his speech on the news. A humble man who represents the country in the finest way.
