You knock the service schools but Quinn and ND destroyed AF, where we struggled with them. How about when Brady Quinn threw no TD's against Goergia Tech and Notre Dame's defense actually pulled them thru that game? Or when Quinn threw 3 PICKs against Michigan and was BENCHED at the end of the game? I don't wanna hear about their schedule being tougher because that is weighted heavily on the USC, Michigan, and a little because of the UCLA win over USC that win helps them too. Picking apart the service academies is like picking apart high school teams so those games should carry no weight. And a Standard team that won exactly ZERO games. Without JEff S. Quinn is again Mediocre against UCLA.
Colt Brennan, while he had a great year statistics wise, he doesn't even belong in the same league with these guys.
Who else is more deserving than Smith? Please don't say Quinn, I want another name.
Oh yea, and I forgot to throw in a 2-9 North Carolina team who gave up 45 pointsto 0-12 Duke.

You were knoscking the strentgh of ND's schedule and I was pointing out some of those teams are better than the credit you give them.I agree but it wasn't cause of our offense, being at that game we went up and down the field at will.
Also, this was about the first team AA between Quinn and Smith, there was no mention about our team.
Not sure why you brought that up.
I dare say Ainge and the UT offense had just as much if not more success against Air Force as Notre Dame did. It'd be pretty difficult to score everytime you touch the ball except for once, which ended up bringing the game closer. You knock the service schools but Quinn and ND destroyed AF, where we struggled with them.
Taken completley out of context. I am saying AF is better than he was giving them creditI dare say Ainge and the UT offense had just as much if not more success against Air Force as Notre Dame did. Good point.I agree. That said, my only deal was Michigan had 3 first teamers while the entire SEC only had 4.The SEC has several top ranked teams as well. It's not like we don't have great players in this league.Well as most on here can probably tell I am not big on individual awards for team sports. Most are popularity contests! My exception would be MLBs batting titles. They are earned, I am sure there are others but most rely on teamates in one form or another.
I am not lobbying for Quinn to be crowned king of the world, but you have to give credit where it is due. We can't sit here and be completely bias and discriminate against a good player b/c we can't stand their team. I've faced the facts, and I won't deny them. Quinn is better.
