'12 CO QB Cyler Miles

I can't see him committing either if he hasn't even visited the campus. He must be headed to UW.

QB Cyler Miles Ready to Make his Choice

Reading this article, I say it's between Illinois and Tennessee, JMO though. He will notify the coaching staff of his decision tomorrow, then talk to reporters.

Illinois "I like that Illinois tailors their offense to the quarterback. They do a great job of that. They have a great coaching staff there and they work really well with their quarterback. There are also really good academics at Illinois."

Tennessee "They have a great tradition. They are in a great conference. The SEC is the best conference in the nation. Tennessee seems to have had a good string of quarterbacks come through there and they have a great quarterback coach."

Florida "Florida has great coaches. They are very professional how they go about their business. Year in and year out, Florida is contending for a national championship. They know how to win there."

Washington "I like the quarterback coach there. They have coached and developed a lot of great quarterbacks at Washington. They run the pro style offense that I like. Academics are good up there."

Arkansas "Great conference. It's another offense that I really like; kind of a pro style mixed with a spread. They get you read for the next level, and they are also very professional."

The logical choice would be Tennessee. We run the same offense he does in high school, he would like to play in the SEC, he would have national exposure, & he would compete w/ Worley for the starting job. He also really likes Chaney.

BUT.... he has never been to Knoxville & he has visited Washington. I just cant see him committing here.

Tennessee is the best fit for him and competition wise it is actually a better situation for him too. But Washington has to be the odds on favorite if that is the only school in his final 3 he's visited. It's just so rare for a player to pick a school he's never visited.

I feel that Illinois is definitely the dark horse.

He's done a great job of fogging up his decision.

He's sends out the message "SEC" on TSS the other day and talks very highly of Tennessee in the latest Rivals' article.

He really talks up Illinois' use of quarterbacks and seems to love their coaching staff.

Then, he talks about needing to see himself at a school and fitting into a community for the next 4 to 5 years, and Washington is the only school in his top 5 that he's visited. Yet, he says nothing about Washington that sets them apart from the rest in his latest interview.

To me, it just seemed like he held higher opinions of Illinois and Tennessee. We definitely made the top 3 here.

Has he ever been to Illinois? If so then they definitely could be a dark horse.

That would be the worst possible choice he could make out of his finalists IMO. After the way Juice Williams regressed throughout his career I dont know why any QB prospect would want to play for that current staff.

Coaching, offensive style, and academics were some of the things that helped him narrow his list to five. Now it's a matter of finding the right fit for him personally.

"I need to be able to picture myself there for four or five years living at the school and the city," he said. "It's going to be the school where I feel like I fit best on the campus and around the people there."

Washington "I like the quarterback coach there. They have coached and developed a lot of great quarterbacks at Washington. They run the pro style offense that I like. Academics are good up there

Sounds like Washington from these quotes, plus him & one of his friends are always talking about Washington on his FB.

Exactly what i thought when he talked about Illinois' QB staff. Saying Juice regressed is an understatement. He disappeared.

Maybe it's because Paul Petrino is the OC. He was not there while Juice was there, so that is a poor argument. Petrino has a pretty good history developing QBs, and the current QB at Illinois developed well last year under Petrino.

Just reading around to see if I can pick up any clues as to where he'll land, and I can't really find anything. He elminated Colorado, because they already have a QB commit this year. Shouldn't that also eliminate Washington?

Also, I found this comment on an online article:
He will be at one of the SEC schools where he will have a great career. So proud of this young man whom I've known since he first started playing football.

Cody McKee talked to him yesterday and he feels "confident" that we land a commitment tomorrow. TIFWIW

I think it probably is Washington but im not 100% sold on it. Eliminating Colorado for having a Qb commit should have done the same to Washington in theory. I know he hasnt visited us or LSU but its still possible. Doubhtful but you never know. Just hoping it is us.

What QB history is he speaking of? Locker? Hell he didnt even have a good year last year. I like Sark and hes a great QB coach and will be a solid HC, but just dont see the big deal about them.Guess its just me.

You're forgetting the Hawaiian prince: Marcus Tuiasasopo (sp?). Although that was a while ago.

I did forget about him. Doubt Miles even knew of him. He wasnt a elite type QB though. If you go to washington its because of Sark. He is very likeable.
