The difference?
Dylan is an amazing song-writer, Cobain wasn't.
I Know "Lake Of Fire" was out of his range but that's the point, he didn't have any.
Hence the mumbling on verses and screaming on hooks.
I don't look for perfection out of live perfomances, no matter the setting and what have you, it wasn't a great performance to me.
Doesn't mean you guys can't like it.
I just can't see it.
It was said to be a "top 5 album of all-time", that is lunacy, I could list 100 albums that are better, I'm sure many on here could do the same.
Nirvana is overrated. Not as overrated as Bob Dylan is, but overrated just the same. They are really just a mediocre band from the Grunge genre. They are alright, but by far not that good.
Bob Dylan on the other hand...I mean, Rebecca Black can write better songs than him, and she sings better.
Co, you got any love for the Infidels record? Underrated Zimmerman IMO.
Yeah I do gotta lot of love for it. The remastered brings it out even better than before. He was on an Isreal kick. Love all those songs.."Neighborhood Bully" & "Man of Peace."
And we all have met that kinda girl he is singing bout in "Sweetheart Like You."
IMO Nirvana changed the face of rock music forever. i mean its pretty amazing when 3 virtually unknown men from seattle can kill an entire genre of music (80's glam). so it goes without saying to me Nirvana will always be that one band that will stick with me forever.
yeah hard to respond to a statement like "none of the bands mentioned in this thread have an album worth buying". maybe he just doesn't like music in general or is possibly sheltered?
I do have GNR appetite for Destruction. Back in the day you pretty much had to buy an album to get 1 song you liked. Years later I have some STP, AIC, & pearl jam i downloaded because they each have a couple songs I like. I have nothing Nirvana for the simple fact I don't like them. They have some tolerable songs I guess but nothing I'm gonna buy, download, or willingly play.
