OFFERS: Has offers from eight BCS schools at this time.
STRENGTHS: O'Brien is very quick off the ball and stays low at the point of attack. He is also a very powerful and a hustler chasing the ball all over the field.
WEAKNESSES: He is strictly a nose guard body that will need to add another 20 pounds to play the interior position while taking on more than one blocker.
CONCLUSION: Should start off in the mid-5.8 four-star range, putting him safely in the top five in the state of Michigan which appears to have a really deep and talented class this year. O'Brien should end up with 15 to 20 D-I offers by the end of May.

Arnett: " I already feel that he (Dan O'Brien) is already committed to Tennessee." He also added that he could go elsewhere he's not sure

Was @ Wisconsin recently, they didnt offer however.

"I thought the facilities were really nice," O'Brien said. "I like how it's kind of all old school stuff. They use their weight room, it's not flashy, but they use it and they work hard in there. I like the facilities overall."

"I thought it was really intense," O'Brien said. "They were hitting hard even though it was spring practice. I like that a lot. My dad liked it a lot. He liked how intense they were during practice. He's been saying that all the facilities and everywhere we go is going to be amazing because they're all measured upon each other.

Said he wants to visit Alabama

Powers Catholic (MI) DT Dan O'Brien said he hopes to see #Tennessee this summer or maybe sooner; Coach Sirmon is coming to visit next week
- Cody Mckee

Cody said even though O'Brien continues to say Tennessee leads that it will be a real tough pull out of Michigan.

As O'Brien's recruitment drags on UT's chances will become more and more slim IMO. I know he loves UT and is still calling UT the favorite, but like many others have said it will be hard to keep him out of the state of Michigan.

"I love the SEC. You can't deny SEC football with (five) national championships in a row," he said. "I definitely want to play on that big stage. I actually visited Tennessee when they played Alabama. The SEC atmosphere is hard to beat."
"(Alabama is) definitely towards the top," he said. "You can't put Alabama at the bottom. I have a lot of interest in their school, and I can't wait to get down there and see what they have to offer.

I thought Sirmon coached LBs? Lance Thompson is the only one helping us with DTs right? hahahhahahaha

Uhhh, you're kidding right? All the coaches, at some point, will have a hand in recruiting most of our signees.

But Thompson, Wilcox and Dooley will have the final say in who we sign at DT/DE.... not Sirmon.

Now, go play in traffic.

"It feels awesome. It's definitely a huge offer, being one of the best teams in the SEC and winning a national championship two years ago. I'm real excited."

As for visiting Tuscaloosa, O'Brien said, "Yeah, later this spring or camp there in the summer."

"I'm going to the Michigan State spring game. [The contact with MSU] has been really good. The first day of the evaluation period, Coach Narduzzi came up in the morning to watch me lift. Coach Gill came later in the day, so they double teamed me there and let me know I'm one of their top prospects."
