I have lots of family still alive and doing well up in the Carfax/Coeburn area.

Jim and Jesse were my grandmother's first cousins.

Coeburn (Sandy Ridge) is also the home of Ralph and Carter Stanley. I've been to Ralph's home. He did the song Oh Death in Oh Brother Where Art Though.

I've spent many days and nights up there. Sadly most of the time I make it up there now is for funerals. May have to schedule a weekend "for the heck of it" trip soon.

My first grade teacher was Dwight Yoakam's sister.
I went to school with Aaron Tippin's daughter.
Burt Reynolds asked my aunt out when they were in high school. She respectfully declined.

By the way, # 3 is a total let down. If she answers that question differently, who knows? I could be saying, "My uncle Burt is Burt Reynolds". How gangster would THAT be? Not that my Uncle Smitty's not cool or anything.

Burt and Dinah Shore sat in front of us at a UT football game, but he never mentioned your Aunt. Probably a bad memory for him.
