I have lots of family still alive and doing well up in the Carfax/Coeburn area.
Jim and Jesse were my grandmother's first cousins.

3/4ths of my grandparents were Scotch Irish descendants the other one English descent. My only claim to anything much is that one of my ancestral families were among the first settlers in the Sweetwater area, and one is among the first 4 non Cherokee families that settled in the Sequatchie river valley. There is actually a small community on the Marion/Sequatchie county line with our name on it.
Coeburn (Sandy Ridge) is also the home of Ralph and Carter Stanley. I've been to Ralph's home. He did the song Oh Death in Oh Brother Where Art Though.
By the way, # 3 is a total let down. If she answers that question differently, who knows? I could be saying, "My uncle Burt is Burt Reynolds". How gangster would THAT be? Not that my Uncle Smitty's not cool or anything.
