There were some bits of footage from the jets as well at the end of the video. This is my #1 game for this fall.

Any word on multiplayer? I have never Played this series. Not much for single player mode.

How were the past multiplayer experiences?

Looks amazing.

I greatly prefer the Battlefield style multiplayer to other shooters, Each class has a specific role as far as helping the team, ie ammo resupply, health/reviving, vehicle repairs, etc.

The maps are much bigger, with none of the chokepoints that are commonplace in the CoD series, strategy and teamwork really pay off, it's not a run and gun non stop game, I really enjoy it.

With how much you love it Train, I'm thinking about picking this game up and giving it a try. One thing I can't stand about COD is the run and gun style with the online play.

With BC2, if anyone looks at it, make sure to get it new. Used versions have the VIP code already used, and it costs like $14 I believe.

Naturally G$ or whoever won't tell you that, and sell you a used copy for $10 less than a new one costs, leaving you to spend more in the end.

I like run and gun on cod. I can also appreciate slower paced, More thoughtout gameplay.

How many players are in a map? Sounds like a lot.

This game will be great if you have a PC capable of running it. It's getting dumbed down a lot for consoles.

I agree that the console version is not dumbed down (I have played both).. only thing that could be dumbed down on the console version is mods. However, mods are not that big for BFBC2 due to the frostbite engine. Developer packs have not been released to my knowledge for mapping.

This is simply not true. There will be differences especially in the anti-aliasing between the consoles and the PC with the PC no doubt being better, but outside of that and the mod potential, there wont be many differences.

Battlefield 3 will be 'scaled down' on 360 and PS3 - but still 'amazing', says DICE

DICE has conceded that its gorgeous upcoming shooter Battlefield 3 will have to be "scaled down" onto PS3 and 360, but claimed that the game will still be "amazing" on both platforms.

CVG saw the game running on PC at GDC earlier this month, and it's shaping up to be very special indeed.

However, DICE boss Karl Magnus Troedsson admitted that developing the game on PC will inevitably lead to the non-360 and PS3 SKU being the most advanced option.

"PC is the leading platform, conceptually, for this game, definitely. We are going to make this game on 360 and PlayStation 3 as well, [but] we need to scale it down to those platforms," he told the latest issue of PC Gamer in a special preview.

"The PC players are going to love to hear that, but it's a fact. The hardware specs on the console are limited. At the same time, for each iteration on these console platforms we can utilise the power of them better and better, so what we do on the other platforms is going to be amazing, and look much better on the PC too.

He added: "There's going to be unique features on the PC version of this game, some of which I think people are going to be very pleased about. I can't reveal all of them... but I can reveal that there will be a lot of extra love put into the PC version of this product."

Battlefield 3 is one of a handful of major FPS releases coming to PC, PS3 and 360 this year - fellow EA-published release Crysis 2, which is due to hit shelves on March 22 in the US.

The boss of Crysis studio Crytek, Cevat Yerli, has claimed that the PC is, technologically speaking, a "generation ahead" of its console siblings.

Unparalleled Vehicle Warfare — The best online vehicle warfare experience gets even better with a fitting sonic boom as fighter jets headline an impressive lineup of land, air and sea vehicles. Other returning fan favourite features include 64 players for PC and prone.

Bearcat leading the charge against PC gamers who are too busy taking out mom's garbage.

PC Battlefield is better, we all know that. But PC gamers who have nothing better to do than trash console games aren't familiar with terms like "40 hour week" and "Job" and "Wife".

Take your shat elsewhere, timmy, this is generally a console forum, with some PC players. PC elitist can go suck.

Story of my life...

Zas you should really spring for the maps, maybe you can guilt Bearcat into playing some HC rush if you do.

Me and Cat aren't exactly the best of friends, but with his Shotgun and Mortars, and my M416 and Revolver, we destroyed a **** ton of MCOM stations.

We had a good setup, arm the charge, throw grenades, shoot people, and when bearcat's rain came in, we'd get killed, but so would everyone coming after us.
