it's sad that our fans didn't show up for this meaningless scrimmage. real fanbases pack the house for these bore-fests.

Went again this year, the wind was pretty harsh. Left at the half, but there seemed to be a decent crowd, 20,000 or so I would guess.

It's cold, and it's a spring game.

Weather today in Alabama...Tornadoe warnings and severe thunderstorms all day. I'll gurantee Bryant Denny is packed or at least has a respectable showing. I'm embarrased at the showing today. I love the Volnation and not being negative in any way, but we have now took a back seat to Georgia,Florida, Bama,LSU,Arkansas,Auburn,S.Carolina in the spring game support. For those of you who don't think this is important... I was on the lower level today of section T and noticed several high profile recruits visiting. If you don't think this is an impact when these players visit other schools next week, u better think again.

My son and I went to the game, but we like almost everyone else were way Underdressed. It was freezing. Id say to start the game there was 20,000 plus. After half time that number dropped sharply. Not to mention every Vol Snuggie in the stadium store had sold out...

normal for Q&W game. in fact, normal is around 15K.. CLK had 50K and in 1986 after weeks and weeks of promoting and holding at night they had 75K. no it isn;t bad it is standard for Tennessee fans

And seeing Saban walking around on the field in a gray suit made him resemble Richard Nixon. I kept expecting him to flash the victory signs.

Some of you are ridiculous. Pathetically ridiculous. Who Gives a crap about the attendance? The weather sucked really bad.

And look at how Knoxville is placed in Tennessee. People aren't gonna drive hours on hours to watch the game. You can get to Tuscalloosa pretty easy from anywhere in Bama.

Get over yourselves. My god.

watching the Alabama game on ESPN U compared to TN game on the Inet, and the attendance difference is telling. That showing is sad.

There's just a little difference between Tennessee football and Alabama football as of late... How did those numbers compare during the Shula years?

I'm sorry, but when you let celebrities(yes I am using that term very loosely) coach the game and have the seniors pick the teams, you are indeed letting it be known it is nothing more than a backyard pickup game. I have always heard the saying "offense sells tickets, defense wins championships". Well, if you wanna sell tickets, at least show us a little bit of what we have to look forward to. The gail force winds coupled with the cool temps today didn't help matters much either.

I think the crowd was around 20,000- 23000. The lower section on both sides was filled and side had about half the lower section, and a few scattered at top ( I guess to have the bucket seats) imo. The weather was a problem with getting people to show up for sure though. I left at the half because I did not dress warm enough. Thought a sweatshirt was enough, boy was I wrong, wind made it feel much colder!

ABOVE STATEMENT IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE... FROM EARLIER POSTER..
It was bad weather yesterday in Alabama...today it was 54 degrees at kickoff for their game with very windy conditions...might have been a bit colder in Tennessee but not much..
people make way too much out of spring game good and bad and all the other things..
its glorified scrimmage.....i wouldn't go to one if you paid me unless my kid was playing...complete waste of time...

All this talk on here over 1 spring game.
wow

so let's crown Bammer champs because they had a bunch of people there... UT will just accept a 3-8 record and we won't have to play the season
