I hate to tell you, but a bunch of 18 to 22+ year olds aren't "kids having fun". You're legal adults. It's a shame you can rationalize that behavior by saying you're a "kid".

Don't get me wrong, I graduated from Tennessee in the fall of 08. I raised plenty of hell, especially at Bama and Florida fans. I'm not saying "F You Bama" is wrong to chant, but don't say you're a "kid having fun".

Say I'm drunk, stupid and immature because that's what it is. I know, because I did it too.

And I was there as well. There was one guy who was talking trash to the WHOLE student section. What's wrong with chanting at the guy? It's a COLLEGE football game, there will be COLLEGE aged students there. We probably use more profane language than you do, but this is our time to do so, so get off of our backs and let us have fun.

False sir, tickets actually sold fast to the students. Usually we get guest tickets to games, but there were so many tickets sold for the Florida game that UT did not allow any guest tickets. Good try though.

So you were in the student section in 08... Did you chant "F U Bama" with the student section in 08 when Hardesty went down and the Bama Sections started chanting Ala-Bama while he was laying on the ground?

I was in the press box working. If I had not been working, I would have probably been drunk and yelling F U Bama.

However, I'll admit that it's immature as hell. I'm not saying I was a "kid having fun".

Bro. I'm a student and i've never robbed a pilot station with a pellet gun. I've also never kicked a police officer. I do occasionally curse though, but I guess that's splitting hairs by your logic.

I'm sitting there and our student section drops the "f-bomb" - I was shocked and embarrassed at the same time. Absolutely the most disgusting thing I have ever witnessed. Do we NOT HAVE ANY CLASS. I know what some will say...they, being bama, are nasty as well. That doesn't matter! I don't know if i have ever been more outraged and disappointed than I am now. I knew we were out matched, but for the life of me I didn't think we would be OUTCLASSED!

Hey man it happens everywhere. I was sitting in the student section the last time the Vols played the Irish at Neyland.

There was a very annoying ND fan dressed like a leprechaun standing in front of me, and I am going to take credit for starting the f@$c Notre Dame chant in the student section. I was 30 years old at the time.

If you have a problem with it spend your game days in church or something. I would like to say something similar to you, but fear the mods will ban me you dinosaur. :eek:k:

As a student I'm appalled by this thread. I don't curse at games because I don't curse but I will say this.

As a 7 year old going to a football game I heard A LOT worse from the nosebleed section than I ever hear in the student section now. Try being 7 and going to watch us play the Gamecocks! Oh yeah daddy had to cover my ears for most of THAT game!

I have seen Coach Dooley drop F bombs as well as many other animated words. Should we tell him that is a no no in Neyland. People these days are too damn sensitive.
