Tobias Harris (merged)

What has Torrel done? He always sounded like a real supportive guy to me and real interested in his sons future. The NBA is the next step so advising him to stay if hes out of the top 15 sounds great to me and would of probably been something he would of said if Bruce was here or gone.

haven't seen Tobias projected anywhere near the top 15, but I'm not going to count him as coming back until he and his paps meet with the new staff.

Having him and Scotty sure would make the transition easier.

Scotty especially could use a new voice telling him what to do, might do wonders for his basketball career.

Jeeze is he talking about his son, or a client.

I think he's just talking about his son.

A lot of parents advise their kids to go to college and some advise them on what college to go to. In a way, this is the same thing. A parent looking out for the well-being of their child. That's not to say Torrel isn't looking to reap some of the benefits. I don't know the guy... I'm just saying, a lot of parents look out for their kid. You'd hate to sit by and watch your teenager make a bad decision that cost him millions. Even worse, screwing up a chance to do something he loves for a living.

The only difference is that Torrel's son can actually play.

I listened to the interview. I don't know the first thing about Torrel Harris, but he seemed very reasonable in his approach to an unfortunate situation.

This is what I was thinking. Torrel's actions haven't been reflective of someone like Juicy Locke

Why is he commenting at all? If Tobias has something to say, that's cool. However, the last thing UT needs now is some wannabe Richard Williams appearing to be one of the voices of the program.

NBA people reporting that Frank is frontrunner for UT job. Not sure how they would know, or how I feel about it, but noone would leave if that is the case. Can't see guys who want to play in NBA jumping ship with him, especially Harris. Thoughts?

It's probably best for all parties if parents don't get involved with the media, but some handle it better than others.

I agree with him having no business doing something like that over the air. He needs to watch his son play ball and discuss his future behind closed doors.

I agree. It hardly ever ends well. Eventually somebody gets embarrassed or gets their feelings hurt.

Haven't you heard? He's leading the search, according to Softball.
