A loss like we suffered in Arkansas will do strange things to a man.

While waiting on a flight home in Atlanta, I picked up Senator Obama's second book, and I am almost halfway through it.

It's a pretty darn good book. I highly recommend it to any Democrat and certainly any Independant that honestly likes to give all sides a fair chance.

I'm not voting for him yet, but he certainly is a better candidate than Kerry, Clinton or Gore for the Democrats.

No one gonna try this one out?

Interesting to me that we will spend time on here calling people names and posting cute lil pictures, but no one wants to do actual reading and discussion on a mature level.

I've had the book a little over 24 hours and I am about 3/4 of the way through it.

Books by politicians are kind of like Lou Holtz memoirs, they say the things they know they should act upon but don't. Unfortunately if they weren't politicians, they wouldn't be in office.

His first book was a good read. I'm sure I'll get around to this one at some point. I'm in no real hurry. 2008 is a good ways off.

No, but I would expect if someone wanted to discuss it, they would have posted that they were going to go and get it.

No one did that.

But I'll bet OWB called the president a name today.

If it's a Lifetime movie, some man will be beating on some woman in there somewhere.

I never understood why a network for women had so many movies about women getting abused :dunno:

I know, they should make that channel disappear. If I wanted to see a woman getting disrespected, I like at all the responses to LIO's posts...

Classy. You're a disgrace to the system and the country. You're worse than what you think Bush is, and everytime you and people like you open their mouths, the country gets just a little bit worse.

But, that being said, you are just as entitled to say those things as I am to say what I just did about you saying them.

As long as we still have that, I guess we'll survive.

He doesn't have "viewpoints".

That's the problem with people like him.

All he can do is call people names and attack people that are "not in his party".

He's no better than the girl at work today that said she didn't need to read the book because she knew what Obama's party stood for and so she wasn't interested.

People like her and OWB are afraid to give people of the opposing party any fair chance because they think they know what they believe and if they actually research what other people think and feel, they might *gasp* agree with someone in the "other party". That would then make them question everything about themselves, and they can't handle that.

It's sad.

God you're dramatic. Life must be tough when you take everything so seriously. Bowel movements must be very painful.
