With CBP appearing to be on the way out, how does the opportunity at Tennessee stack up against the other available jobs this offseason.

Take into account the NCAA cloud, facilities, tradition, financial resources, conference, returning roster and any other criteria you deem relevant.

The major players besides Tennessee for a coach are Arkansas, Georgia Tech, NC State, Oklahoma, Utah, Texas Tech, Providence among others...with the list likely expanding in the next week or so.

My opinion is that Tennessee has a strong argument for the best open position, but I'm biased.

I agree but I'm biased too. Georgia Tech could be a nice grab. ACC School, nice facilities, decent tradtion, and a hotbed for talent in your backyard

UT, OU, GT would be above the others. Of course I believe Tennessee is the Best Job, but I am a Homer!!!

UT, GT, and Arkansas are very similar jobs in my opinion. Sitting in the middle of downtown Atlanta is nice when it comes to recruiting though. GT is also getting a new arena in 2 years I think. Just depends on the guy I guess.

Supposedly the Jackets will open the 2012 Season in their new place....

Texas Tech is already a done deal. They'll announce their coach by Wednesday, probably earlier.

Providence is open as well. Don't think it's as desirable as the UT job despite it being in the big east

GT is a very good school academically. I would think they are somewhat limited in who they can recruit because of that.

UT is the best job.

Unless their new athletics director follows Houston's lead last year and chooses to renege on a bunch of promises 12 hours before the introductory press conference.

will be a good hire for TT. I wonder if returning to aTm would be an option if Turgeon left.

Georgia Tech def. They have a pretty good traditional program, they have big time recruits in their neighborhood and have nice facilities. GT is a very nice place.
