How old are you? That's pretty bold to say nobody cared. Tennessee basketball did exist before 2005, FYI.

Yea it existed, but we never did anything special. I'm 21 years old, probably close to the same age as you are. Look man, I'm not tryin to make people mad, but I kills me that everybody calls him a hypocrite and a scum bag just because of one mistake. He is a good coach and I want him to stay. I believe its the best thing to do.

Cody, Tennessee is a top 40-45 winningest all time program. Yea our NCAA tournament success is subpar but part of that is having to play with UK for so many years in the same conference when only 1 team was able to get into the NCAA tournament. We had some really good teams that finished 2nd in the conference and never made it in the NCAA's. Overall, our basketball program definitely existed before Bruce Pearl and thrived in the 60's, 70's and early 80's. Also had some squad's under Jerry Green.

Also, I want Pearl to stay too, but that isn't to say our program isn't a good program or will be a good program without Pearl.

You seem like a smart guy but threads often devolve with you. Someone is always an idiot, fool or moron with you. Chill

You'll find that it's impossible to have a rational conversation with the Pearl lovers. I have tried numerous times, and I've certainly been guilty of devolving the threads at times. But, they devolve whether I'm in them or not. Rational debate isn't welcome on this board because Pearl has an incredible number of followers who are incapable of it. But, I appreciate the compliment. Post more often.

One mistake? You might want to look into his background.

You really should do a little research before you continue taking up for BP. He committed the exact same violation while at UWM, just didn't lie about it back then. You continuing to take up for him makes you look pretty foolish honestly.

Wow I'm confused and just learned something. I thought the NCAA would let you out of a LOI if the coach left or got canned.

Secondary violation. Same as the mess before the lie and the bump after. Any guess as to how many division 1 secondary violations were reported(not committed) in 2009.

2,939. In one year. Over 6,000 if you include other divisions. I'm cool if you have beef with Pearl, but calling someone a scumbag isn't kosher in my book.

Repeating same violation multiple times after already being cited for it previously...add lying to your boss (aka NCAA)...have staff lie for you in addition to your lying...then ask recruits and their families to lie for you...equals scumbag...End of subject...Thank God people like you aren't in charge of hiring / retaining coaches.

People like me? Do you know me at all?

Your previous post was referring to the violation he committed at UWM. That's all I was referring to. Yes, the lie to the NCAA was unfortunate. The staff and the university have paid a pretty hefty price for that. As for the other violations, they happen everywhere. You don't commit secondaries, you aren't going to last long as a coach.

I love the nega-vols... Always quick to judge others and play the holier than thou game. We've got a game today and if you aren't giving your all to support this program, including supporting the staff until they are no longer the staff, then go get on somebody else's wagon.

Ok, I'll go right down to the Sheriff's office and then over to the NCAA so I can see ever detail in every mistake he's ever made.

Thanks for letting me
DB

Jeez. If you would do the research you would see that this is not the first situation of
Outright dishonesty in relation to Pearl.
Search the name Deon Thomas.

Also, there is no need for the name calling.
