Jay I was actually thinking of the move to Knoxville/surrounding area to try to teach. Were you a teacher?

If you like working 12 hours on the Sunday before the deadline or possibly sleeping two nights in an office with the flip side being you don't know what your office looks like on a Friday afternoon from May-July, I suggest get your core requirements and go be a CPA.

Still do. As long as my health holds. That's why I have been on VN like a duck on a june bug this last week. 2 weeks off is killing me. When working, I just scatter post during lunch/class changes. I take what I do seriously. The kids deserve my best not someone to tell them to read the chapter, do definitions, and answer the questions. Anybody can do that.

The Tri-Cities area is beautiful. I am 1hr 20 min from ktown. 30 min from Bristol racetrack. My contacts are in this area.

I'm a manager at a finance company that also does taxes. So I've had a good amount of experience already. I just despise the hours and the folks I deal with on a daily basis. Ergo the thoughts of change.

There's no way in hell I could ever be a teacher. Thankfully we're all wired different ways.

And droski - I loathe your state, just for taxes alone. I swear it's more complicated than the US tax code.

If we have to file a CA return for a client (business, don't know the last individual return I filed there), the typical budget of time goes up 25%.
