Thats a great point. No one fears playing us anymore. Our coaches have no balls. We're like a little teddy bear. Not very intimidating and it shows by the way other coaches just own ours.

We should have 1/4 of the game won just because of our name, but now a days playing Tennessee is a welcome sight because we coach like school girls.

Im very confused. Is that what winning a national championship does to people? I believe the goal for every team at the start of the season would be to win every game. however there is only one NC each year. UT is a very good team and has an elite program. Understand other schools also have good programs...UT is in the SEC. IMO the best conf in the country. You can be an average SEC team and still be one of the best teams in the country.....Believe it or not. I feel this way about my Gamecocks.

I love it when people point out obvious faults in our team, then they say how dissapointed they are, then someone tells them to go cheer for another team.

There fans for gods sake. if they weren't they wouldn't be dissapointed and wouldn't be in a message board discussing this with other fans.

We're all fans of Tennessee. We've always been fans. I just don't understand people that accept the fact that we got beat by a better team and think thats the answer to the whole loss. We didn't just get beat by a better team we got embarrased, we got out coached, we played with no gusto at all.

Sorry we question something we invest so much of our lives into. I'm sorry.

I'm just going to rationalize everything from here on out.........."Man lets compare this to last season"

Arky is FAR from a better team! This loss came from Crompton not knowing what o do! If Ainge is in we win! Arky only scored 3 points the second half.....Adjustments worked. Ainge is in we score 42 WR were open Crompton could not get the job done!

i disagree. it may have been alittle closer, but ainge would not have lead us to the promised land last night. the team did not look prepared to play. the L is on the coaches.

I'm glad that we're so pissed off. That means performances like last night will ultimately drive some sort of change - not sure what that change should be or what it will be - but clearly last night's game as not acceptable to anyone who bleeds orange.

In some respects, it could be a blessing in disguise. Losing to Florida and LSU by the narrow margins could have glossed over the fact we've been physically whipped by the top SEC programs. There is no denying now that we need to get tougher and more physical on the lines. I think back to after Nebraska did the same thing to us in the 1997 season's Orange Bowl. We went into the offseason and emerged one of the most physical Tennessee teams in our programs history. I hope we have a similar wake up call. Its going to be incumbant upon the staff to take clear note of what happened last night and immediately work on the changes to prevent that from happeneing next year.

After last night, I agree that we are not in the top tear of SEC or even the nation's teams. But, I am not ashamed to be a VOL. We are a team with key injuries that got beat bad by a team that is complete. The crompton factor caught us last night. He is not ready. Our D is small and beat up, we need to get bigger over the off season. Fulmer needs to stop clapping or retire. We got beat by a better team that has a chance to play for a NC if they play that well season out. We are the same team that went 5-6 last season. We are an average team this year. I want NC and SECC as well but I never thought it would happen this season. Go Vols, beat Vandy, KY and whoever we play in a bowl. Be better next week. I love them at 5-6 and I love em at 7-3.

Those who aren't sickened by the fact that Arkansas has more impact players than we do have an agenda of playing fluffer for the coaching staff.

Does anyone with some "insider knowledge" know the answer to this: After a loss like last night, does Fulmer catch any heat from anyone with influence with the Athletic Dept? Obviously he knows the fans are not content, but do you think Haslem, Hamilton, etc. let him know about it?

if anybody is mad about a 7-3 record they should not be a fan we were suppose 2 go 8-5 i will b happy wth a 10-3 or even a 9-4 i am proud 2 b a vol we could have a better record but the peach bowl will b a fine bowl i would like 2 see us aganst ga tech or maryland bc and wake would b a good game

Very frustrated!! As a Vol fan, it absolutely disgusts me to see us lose! But embarrased to be a Vol, never!

If you're looking for proof check out the arrests after the LSU loss and the relatively light punishments. Want more proof, look at the team's effort when "there's nothing to play for but pride". You can blame the players if you want to, but IMO these are clearly coaching issues that go directly to the core of the team and only one person ultimately bears responsibility for such fundamental problems, the head coach.

Oklahoma lost their starting QB and perhaps the best tailback in the nation. They've done well since then.

I sat through a 52-24 loss to Washington State in Neyland Stadium. I wasn't embarassed then to be a Tennessee fan and I'm not now.
