I need suggestions on a vacation spot that is new, exciting, and not terribly expensive (money is not an option for some of us, but some of my friends are poor trying to finish law school).

So my friends and I go every year to Destin/30A and I'm personally burnt out when it comes to that place. They all think this is the only place we can go. I'm all about new places, and Destin is starting to suck terribly (been there over 30 times in my lifetime with family/friends).

So any suggestions for group trips that about 10 of us would attend would be allsome. We were thinking the 1st or 2nd week of august for making the trip.

Much appreciated friends.....

pcb...that's a funny joke.

i'll probably do Alaska with a smaller group. A similar trip is already in the works for next summer.

beach or cruise setting is probably the only kind of trip they'd be open to. They all think they just need a week to relax at the beach, but how is getting blackout every night relaxing.

Move your vacation days up to April 7-10th and me and my group in NOLA for French Quarter Festival.

No haids, much booze, blues, and oysters, and the first 6 pack of Abita is on me.

You can find nice beach houses to rent that would accommodate that many people all up and down the Florida coastlines. We used to rent an ocean front house in Ponce Inlet every year. More relaxing that a hotel/motel scene.

We went to the bahamas for my last spring break several years ago, it was affordable and had a blast......what I remember about it :).

Outer banks or Key West

Obx is the ultimate rent a house and chill spot, imo. If you wait till after september 1 crowds and rates drop big time.

Charleston has great food, shopping and history plus Folly Beach is a great surf town.

How far you willing to travel and what's your budget?

Navarre Beach is the key! No big crowds, same sugar white beaches. Local pub to get drunk at.

Seattle. Climate is cool. You can take two days and hike Rainier. Can take a Clipper up to Vancouver for a day or two. There are a handful of good breweries and wineries. Great music scene. Good bars. Good food.

Did that trip several years back...will definitely make it again. I'm set on convincing the crew to go on a cruise.....but where?
