UT Vs. Arkansas Thread

My demeanor is fine. That was my first post in that thread. You whiners just don't like it when someone with a little objectivity points out that this team has some MAJOR shortcomings. You guys want to close your eyes to problems. Not me. I see the problems, and I point them out before we receive absolutely beatdown and it's obvious to everyone. If you don't like it, VolinArizona, tough ****!
You are correct Vol423. I also see the shortcomings. Little improvement over last year. I think it is time to reassess the program including the coaches. I'm usually an optimist but I have only seen little improvement mainly in the attitude of the players over last year, but that too seems to be going down as of lately.

I've always said that I can handle losing. I can. I cannot handle when our coaches don't do a good job of giving our players a chance to win. A top coach would have faked a punt or done something creative by now to give his team a spark.. to give them some confidence that they can win. All we do by running out the clock is confirm to the players that the coaches don't think they can win either.

When you run on first and second down with under two minutes to go and run over a minute off the clock. That's the kind of crap that drives me insane.
I agree,I think Phil was too scared to do anything big for fear that Arkansas would pick it off for a td.

I especially liked the false start where he still totally missed the block. He couldn't even block him when they guy wasn't expecting it..

Yeah that was funny, also the 3 times on one series where Jamal Anderson (is that his name?) owned him that was also EMBARASSING

no point in playing Ainge now. Let him heal up for KY and Vandy.

Theres teams that arent good enough to win, but know how to win.
And theres teams that are good enough to win, but dont know how to win
Our team is neither, they are good enough to win, but they dont know how to win all the time....theres a lack of dedication, and i have ALWAYS supported CPF, but perhaps things are not all well in Knoxville

There is no point in playing Ainge in this stinker unless your goal is to have him injured all the way to the Orange and White game.

Chavis has had a week to scout Arkansas and they still run their stupid pitiful zone especially on 3rd down and let Monk run free uncovered throughout our secondary. How dumb is it to leave that guy uncovered.

I have a hard time blaming Chavis. Our defense is built for speed and we don't have the strength or the depth to stop a power run game.
